Anyone who has talked to people who actually live with socialized medicine will tell you just how great it is... IT ISN"T! Without a telepromter Obama is nothing- how sad.

@interloper65 There are people who live with some sort of socialized medicine who also think it is great. Fact is, people who have universal/single payer/socialized whatever you want to call it think America is pathetic because we are at the mercy of greedy insurance companies. & Obama doesn't need a teleprompter to talk to a group of people, thats SO ridiculous!
Just because Canada only has one road, does not mean you won't get over run if the U.S. turns into 1934 Germany.
We're only one law away from that, thanks to traitor John McCain's new bill that will throw anyone in jail who protests against the government or who supports the protesters.
Canada is to the U.S. as Poland was to 1934 Germany. Your country will be the first to fall in our imperialist take over of the world!
i could not agree with the congressman more we must have a public option or this will do absolutely nothing to help the American people and will continue to make the insurance companies even richer
@ lennyneroau has it right. this bill is a huge gift to republicans. the private, individual mandate is a big gift to republicans. democrats should be for medicare for all, single payer not for individual private mandates that make big insurance rich. big insurance who denies you care when you need it, in order to bost thier bottom line.
This bill is a suicide bill. If it passes it will sink the democrats so it must not pass. The public will have to be forced to buy PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE.
If you want to give someone the right to be healthy. You will also have to take away the right from him to be unhealthy e.g. regulate what he eats, drinks, smokes, sexual practices. Did I forget anything ?

They are the primary cause of bankruptcy in the U.S. They are also the death panels who deny benefits when they are needed.

Oh Fucking PAALLEESE! The constitution is vague about what promoting the general welfare means so excuse me If I don't defer to your happy ass and wait for the supreme court to issue an opinion on what that encompasses.
@BeantownJim Typical kneejerk neo-con talk. Blame the liberals. The horrific PATRIOT act was passed under which administration? Bush? The law that emasculates the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments and drastically effects the 10th as well? Liberals didn't write the PATRIOT act, and Dennis Kucinich (a liberal) didn't vote for it. In his own words, he didn't vote for it "Because I read it." Blame Bush and the corporate centrists, not liberals nor true conservatives like Dr. Paul.
Better read the preamble to the Constitution. The federal government with the permission of WE THE PEOPLE, has every Constitutional right to enact Single Payer and/or Medicare for all.
The Patriot Act was voted into law under a Republican Congress and White House, so get your facts straight as to who is giving up our constitutional rights.
Also, the 4th Amendment is in the Constitution, not under the UNCONSTITUIONAL Patriot Act.

60% of WE THE PEOPLE have said through our reps' and senators That we do not want this healthcare bill And to put it quite blunt This usurper still hasn't proved of any identification that he is a citizen Yes that is breaking the Constitution Also to present himself for a seat to the United Nations is in direct violation of the Constitution! Obama is the Constitutionally elected president of the U.S. WE THE PEOPLE voted for him, the Electoral College confirmed our vote, so did Congress, Dubya/dick left willingly, then Supreme Court Justice Roberts (Republican) swore him in.
Only through the impeachment process can he now be removed from office, but for anything other than his birthplace.
Good luck with that! If Pelosi was unwilling to impeach Dubya/dick, they you have absolutely ZERO chance Obama will be impeached!
His long form birth certificate is either locked up burnt or hiding! He never proved his birth right! What he showed was a birth form not the original birth certificate And all of his other records are sealed His College His senate records His passport ! eveerything!
Actually, Obama has proven his birth right. Even the REPUBLICAN governor of Hawaii confirmed Obama was born there.
But again, the question of eligibility became moot the second he was sworn in. The time to contest his eligibility was before the election, not after.
Obama is the Constitutionally legal president of the U.S.
You don't know what you are talking about! His birth certificate does not have to be certified in court. It was an administrative procedure, not judicial.
Even the Supreme Court has thrown out cases challenging his eligibility. Why? Because the question of Obama's birthplace is moot!
In order to be President of the US you need to verify your citizenship of birth in the US He didn't Never showed the longform birth certificate with the doctors signature his birth weight the hospital etc etc etc And he sealed his records the first day in his usurped office!
If you say he can't be president, then why is he the president?
The time to contest Obama's eligibility to run for president was before the election, not after. The question of eligibility became moot on January 20, 2009 one second after he was sworn into office.
Neither Clinton nor McCain thought he was ineligible. Also, nobody went to court to protest his eligibility anywhere in the country; not in any precinct, not in any district, not in any county, and not in any state in the union.
Supersnatch: First you're the piece of shit and second: if you can't figure out the simple difference between the "right to be health" as you say and the "need" to see a doctor who provides a service after studying and paying tons of cash for years of school to become a doctor then you're not fit to live in a free society.

Sorry folks... I like a lot of Kucinich's ideas, but I don't want progressives to vote against the first step of HCR along with the rest of the repugs based solely on principle..
This bill IS a giveaway to the insurance industry but this bill saves lives. If Kucinich wants to vote against that then fuck him..
If you force millions of people to purchase private insurance - with NO cost controls, with no competition, with penalties if you don't buy it - then you're gonna throw another bus onto the train tracks of our already FUBAR economy. It would ruin us. ALL of us.
If you're 55, the insurance companies can charge you three times what they charge a 54 year old. If you think that adding another financial burden of mandatory insurance with no cost controls to an already stagnant and overburdened economy is going to save more lives than it ruins, then you need to get a prescription for medical marijuana, because the crack you're smoking isn't working.
Well asshole, you can sit with Kucinich and the rest of the purity trolls while 45,000 people die a year because of lack of Health Insurance.
And you can also move to stall a bill for another year because you have an ideological bone to pick with 99% of Congress.
Again I never said the bill was perfect. Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security were not perfect when they were passed. But passing an imperfect bill now saves lives and provides a base legislators can work with in the future.
Americans deal in reality, not fantasy. There is a opposition party that vote against world peace if they thought it would bring Obama or any other Dem an electoral victory.
We have corporate consevaDems willing to vote against their party's base to please the corporate overlords that fund their campaigns.
And we have purity trolls like Kucinich that vote alongside the GOP and conservaDems to prove an ideological point that helps NO ONE!!
The bill if passed will be fixed, but if it gets killed now we are all fucked. People like you are the reason the GOP fucks us over. Even Sanders is voting for the bill, knowing he a lot more about it than you..
Kucinich BTW voted against a bill with a Public Option in it.
I'll say this one last time, any member of Congress who votes against this bill can get fucked..
you trust the centrist democrats to actually fix it in reconciliation? The same schmucks who conned the people into voting for them in 06 because they said they'd end the war in Iraq? Wow, are you naive.
There is a way to fix it in reconciliation, which would follow the rules of affecting only existing programs: Medicare for all - expand it to cover everyone - it'd be cheaper, and wouldn't further wreck the economy by giving everyone an additional financial burden like mandatory insurance.
She is also much younger than him too. Kucinich is a man's man. He bravely fought off the Cleveland mafia and literally dodged bullets in his own home to keep from being assassinated by them when he refused to sell the local electric plant to them.
Kucinich is one of the very few representatives in Congress who actually takes his oath of office to heart. He literally protects the Constitution with his life!
That's why he is a real man and why he is such a babe magnet!

@scion53 Love Dr. Paul's foreign and fiscal policy. Hate his domestic policy. He wants to deregulate everything and let the free market shake itself to death. I'd much prefer Kucinich/ Ventura 2012, and name Dr. Paul Secretary of the Treasury and have him get our money back to the Treasury department and end the Fed. And with Jesse Ventura as VP, Dennis would be safer from assassination attempts because they'd be more scared of Jesse than Dennis!
Yes, put Paul in charge of strangling the FED in the bathtub. That is one of the few things Paul and Kucinich have in common. They both want the FED put out of business.
I am amazed that idiots are giving me thumbs down for wanting to do away with the FED whose job is to steal money from the middle class.
Apparently, you idiots don't have a clue. No wonder the upper 1% plutocracy now owns more than the bottom 95%. The clueless continue to vote against their own best interests!
No doubt, they will give me a thumbs down for this comment too!

KUCINICH/PAUL 2012
This match up is highly unlikely. Their ideologies are miles apart.
I would much rather see:

Dean more than anyone is responsible for Democratic wins in 2006 and 2008, but he was rewarded by being thrown under the bus by Rahmbo, the Blue Dog DINO-Fascist.

THE END.

you trust the centrist democrats to actually fix it in reconciliation?

No more socialized plutocracy!

You must mean:
KUCINICH/PAUL 2012
This match up is highly unlikely. Their ideologies are miles apart.
I would much rather see:
KUCINICH/HOWARD DEAN 2012
Dean more than anyone is responsible for Democratic wins in 2006 and 2008, but he was rewarded by being thrown under the bus by Rahmbo, the Blue Dog DINO-Fascist.
