  • I remember them in 1966 and early 67 at the Satyr House on Taylor Ave. Jimmy Spore was the

lead singer for them at the time. It was a real scene.

  • Where can I buy this song??

  • how can you not like this? :)

  • I love this song

  • I can remember cruising in my first car, a 1947 Ford, on a warm summer night with this song blasting on thr radio. It's great how listening to certain old songs can bring back some really fond memories of days long past. Thanks for this song.

  • I've loved this song since the early 60's ! It's so kewl! J. Michael and the Bushmen(lead singer Dugan Lawrence) from Corvallis, OR played this song sounding very much like the Lafayettes. I pleaded with the local radio station for over 6 years for a copy of this record before I was finally able to get a copy. I probably just wore the DJs down. Great rim action on those drums!

  • Ben Proctor was quite a drummer (and an inspiration to me as a high school kid).

Frank and the guys were good enough to have had some big hits, but people just weren't breaking things out of B-more City. 76 miles North, in Philly? Now that was a different story.

  • @pyannaguy Do tell!

  • A baltimore group. I remember seeing them on the Buddy Dean show when i was a kid. great stuff!!!!!!

  • I know the song from John Water's film "Hairspray". Nice song love it.
