why do all of these types of simulators move way to much, cars have no more then 120mm movement in roll yaw or deflection, yet these are moving almost 1/2 a meter its stupid. the argument of G forces is stupid as well, even with all that movement you would only create 1G anyway at max. so restrict it to 120mm, and have it react faster so its a little more violent, that would be a much better simulation
yeh right in real life that bastard would have lost his life at 58 seconds into the race he turned under at 80 lol on a step turn lost control blame death lol this game looks cool tho but far from real

@smkatb thats possible, but where is the projector? not to mention how would they make it maintain proper focus on the screen? unless its a laser projector they surely cant mount it on the unit itself because moving a normal projector like that would knock out its bulb in a few minutes, and the cockpit itself isn't strong enough to hole a projector stable, they way that thing is moving around you can even see the top of it warping as it moves. so i still say strange monitor, projector or not.
I'm wondering if its posible to use the graphics from Sony Grand Tourismo 5 with this chair. To me, thats the only thing that's missing, realistic graphics.
well im just waiting for my logitech g25 to arrive i have been a motor mechanic for 25 years and yes the old rover v8 gives the almost thew same forces when cornering at high speed i do belive its just a bit faster though
Or maybe you just know shit about how car handle? It's supposed to give you the G motions and feelings of a real car. That's an F1 car so that sim is actually fairly accurate.
maybe you should strap your self into a car..... any car and go round a few bends and tell me if there is that much sway and body roll.... because if there is you must have sponges for shocks. and before you question who i am, pm me. i race formula mazda here in texas and it IS my full time job so i know a thing or two about open wheel racing. pm me and i can give you all the proof you need.
the swaying is to resemble the g's at accelerating and the inertia of the driver when the car jumps to the next gear or slows down to go around the bend ... right ??
no i see wat ur saying i just think that if ur gonna spend money on things like this it should be multi-genre oriented so if i wanted to fly a fighter jet at mach 3 after driving my indie car i could and do flips and the like. and that broken glass idea isnt bad lol.
If i become rich i still prefer to buy a racing simulator, than buy myself a sports car. Which i could destory in seconds. This looks loads of fun as well.
Don't knock it until you've tried it - the cockpit simulators used for training commercial jet pilots move around exactly the same way, and those are uncannily realistic!
But as this is a RACE CAR simulator, and as race cars only ever go upside down in a crash, there is no need for this seat to do that (unless you expect them to simulate the crashes too? Broken glass everywhere and neck injuries, anyone?)
Don't get me wrong, I have no connection with the guys selling these things! But I fully respect their endeavours in creating something pretty cool.
i built mine with x-sim using picmicro

I think the turningpoint has to be on your head for more accurate feeling!?!
But would be hard to realise with the hinges...
Nevertheless amazing masterpice with less inertia than the big ones.

Well, you are maybe a racedriver, but not a physician.
I try to explain in my schoolenglish, hope you understand.
This Simulator is not primarily simulating your damper and springs. It simulates the Forces when you accelerate, brake or take corners.
For example. When you accelerate you are pressed into the seat. This can be simulated by pushing the rear of your simseat to the ground.
This is how it workes.
To the vid: Really nice. Someday i must have one too.
micsafdas 2 years ago
maybe it feels a lot less inside it...or more realistic

well wat about the range of motion that a fight jet has. lets see a simulator that can do loops and 85 degree banks.
agentx250 3 years ago
Yes that would be tricky wouldn't it?
But as this is a RACE CAR simulator, and as race cars only ever go upside down in a crash, there is no need for this seat to do that (unless you expect them to simulate the crashes too? Broken glass everywhere and neck injuries, anyone?)

Ever changed down 2 gears and felt your car tip 30' on a vertical axis? - I dont think so.
This thing bumps & grinds a lot but that doesn't mean its a good simulation. Maybe you could get your money back.
pippaknuckle 3 years ago
the reason why u get tipped so much is to simulate the forces involved while moving but ur stationary so the angles have to be exaggerated alot
deviance87 3 years ago 2

ROFL what happens when you crash?
Tekhelet75 3 years ago
the G force you feel when you drive on track is pretty strong. So I would say this is about as realistic for a simulator as it can get.
bigdawgjd 3 years ago
This seat has the ability to simulate a flight simulator like no other product can. They should do a plane version of this seat to work with FS
triplea007 4 years ago
wtf. which car moves like that? it does not seem realistic at all. maybe u should use that for a gundam game or something
OnceHopefuL 4 years ago
It doesnt look real but it feels real. Its simulating the forces on a body. It may not be like 100% real but its pretty damn close.
