Haven't read any of this guy's books, but I was just reading about him on wikipedia after someone said they like his writting. His protagonist, Dirk, and wife Summer, have two kids, named Dirk and Summer. Wow, must say this guy sounds really imaginative.

Heh, I'm past that part in the book when the bad guys were sittin' around in their evil underground lair, and one mastermind said that Dirk Pitt's government file reads like a series of adventure novels. Ah, well... His books are fun like that.

dirk pitt is a legend but raise the titanic is my favourite and with the hundredth anniversary of the ships sinking is there a remake in the pipeline i hope so blimey if james cameron can make it look that good going down why dont we see how he would make it look coming up ????????????????????

i love good old clive, one of his newest books, the wrecker was absolutly fantastic, i have an extenise collection and im only 13, my dad has givin me all the ones he got when he was younger, i am currently reading: dark watch( which is a oregon files book) trojan odyssey( dirk pitt) and i have most recently finished: treasure (dirk pitt) if you havnt already read ' dragon' i suggest you do as it is one of his best books in my oppinen.

2 months ago, my Sahara book was eaten by my dog. I almost kill the dog!! Now I've reread Cyclops for the nth time!! I've looked in bookstores for Vixen 03 but found none. Al Giordino is so funny but I love Dirk!! Wish they make cusser novels into films with John Travolta as Dirk.

I'm a huge fan of them. I would like to ask him if Vixen 03 and Night Probe could be made into adapted movies. I wouldn't let him down. I would let him tell me what to do with the charatchers. I would play as Dirk Pitt.

It should be stated that Pacific Vortex was published out of order and was actually written first so for the new reader they should start with Pacific Vortex since the events take place first.

I used to take his books on the long flights to the Middle East and could never put them down until finished.He is true adventure writer and knows his vintage cars.

I still think they missed some of the hidden content of the book SAHARA in the film , and I think Cussler himself was unhappy with the finished film.
