  • I love this song !! "Soon you will know what it's like to be mine" is the best moment ♥ Bruce Dickinson rules ;D

  • And so it begins....;)

  • This song can be found on the Best of Bruce Dickinson album. The two brothers are called Phil and Doug Siviter

  • is that really sung by Bruce? really cool song anyway.

  • This is bruce's 1st song that he wrote. Pretty good when you think of it that way :D

  • @consolegamer2020 He didn't write this song. It's just the first he recorded. It was two brothers who wrote it (can't recall the names) and it was actually for a commercial. They hired Bruce to sing it and it was his first gig ;)

  • Sounds he was listening to a lot of Blue Oyster Cult.

  • @hotcarlcade MORE COWBELL!!

  • Bruce is here so young! How long ago it was... It's been 34 years but he still did not give up and continue singing, but now with Iron Maiden ; D Bruce is amazing!

  • This would make a very good companion piece to "Return of the Vampyre" by MERCYFUL FATE! They could share the same coffin.....

  • is this samsons or what?

  • @chris85mdp The Shots, this is one of a 3 song session that was recorded.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh

Wrong. The track "Dracula", which is included on the bonus-CD of Bruce's Best Of compilation, is actually from a recording that preceeded Shots.

  • You can tell he doesn't have the power in his voice that he had later on. The voice is a muscle, like any other it takes time and work to get it strong.

  • Who gives a shit if it was 77 or 79....If you are a fan,you should feel as privelaged as I do to hear something so rare! Thank you so much for sharing this! Hey Twilight....I know you posted this 2 years ago,but if you want to argue something so ridiculous with fans of truly talented musicians.....save it for American Idol!!!

  • @stephluvslayne It was 77. He recorded this with a band called Shots that hadn't actually been formed yet. After doing this recording, he joined the band and played small time until he finished college. After finishing college, he joined Samson. Iron Maiden heard him when he played the Reading festival with Samson. After Di'Anno was booted from Maiden for drug abuse, Bruce was asked to join due to this.

  • @revickulous2001 Hey, thanx for the info! You obviously are a core Maiden fan! Up the Irons!!!

  • AWWWWEEESSSSSOOOME!!!!!!

  • I... Love this...

  • i got the best of bruce dickinson (on itunes) so i got the interview and stuff so i was happy idk if you get it on the cd or if there is a cd... but BRUCE ROCKS... so yeah...

  • DRACULA OR THE BEASTTT YOUUU CHOOOSSEEEEE!!!! NHHAHAHAH AHHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA-----xD!!!

  • He is God! For me he is the best singer. Up the Irons and Up Dickinson!

  • I kind of don't want to take this song seriously, but whenever it comes to 2:38, I do ))

  • awesome song!!!no doubt that bruce dickinson would become the best singer of the world after that fucking awesome debut song

p.s bruce dickinson is my favorite singer of all time and iron maiden is my favorite band so UP THE IRONS FROM GREECE!!!

  • Comment removed

  • he was 19 years old here and his voice is like presley's. but after that he improved his voice so perfectly and now he's the best singer in the world.

  • Bruce is the bomb, every iron maiden song that he sing sis great....not one bad one(in my opinion) and his solo career is also amazing. It all started with this master piece!!!!!!!!

  • I remember this... was on one Dickinsons solo albums. Love it.

  • I'm reading biography of Iron Maiden. I just got to a part where Dickinson records this song with Shots and I'm so glad I found this song here. Thanks for the upload! The more I listen the more I begin to like this. It's actually a very good song.

  • Great song!

  • Seems to have a bit of an Alice Cooper-ish feel to it... does anyone else hear that?

  • High Quality XD

  • THIS IS AWFUL !

  • Man I never would've recognized it was him if it wasn't in the title.

  • I think I will buy some of his music it is cool

  • best metal singer ever

  • Is this THE Bruce Dickinson?

  • @DDAY44j YES IT IS the voice is the same

  • Hi FightJNKE, if you can't find mp3 on peer to peer you can extract the sound from here, and save it as mp3 or other sound extensions. There are much software that do this. Ciao from Rome :)

  • @brosfs he should try with bittorrent :)

  • this song is amazing but i cant find it on limewire

  • i'll upload it onto sendfile and then post it on here for you.(:

  • reminds me of roky erickson.

  • Sounds like ozzy !!!

  • @o0f0e0r0 you think so? maybe the vocals at some points but when ever I hear this i think its a very similar style to Roky Erickson's 'Night of the Vampire' the electric version.

  • @o0f0e0r0 Probably a huge influence at the time I would imagine:-)

  • Dude thanx man!

  • whts the special edition called or whts it called where i can download or get these early songs frm bruce? Whts the album called?

  • omg thank for this

  • Thanks!

  • Samson?

  • this was before samson is on his best of bruce dickinson album if you get the special edtion one he explains when and how any why about each songs he did when he did his solo stuff. except this one predates the one on the best of bruce dickinson album becouse you can tell its a liitle difrent if you heard the one on the best of bruce dickinson.

  • @ardon68 It only sounds different because this is shitty Youtube-quality, it is the same version (I just listened to it)

  • Yeah bad comment; this is too good for thar fag-fest!

  • @1lemurian lmao

  • psychodelic songs great

  • Doors and Misfits had a Baby, its this song... But by Dickinson. so therefore, awesomeness!

  • Kind of Doors-ish.

  • Sounds kinda Black Sabbath meets Alice Cooper but not as heavy or as doomy!

  • I think this song is just awesome! The mood of it great.

  • The song sucks really bad, but it's interesting to listen, it shows a young and raw bruce dickinson and he was already great at that time.

  • This song rules on so many levels!

    You are a dip shit!

  • I'm not even a Bruce fan and I think this song is pretty good. It's just a different style, kind of theatrical.

  • @alexfanx theatrical is something bruce has always been. but theatrical in a different sense than what he had done with iron maiden, ill agree with that.

  • @boxzila Don't try to act like you know something when you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. So Bruce stole a Lizzy Borden demo song and put it in his compilation album, yeah right

  • gorgeous!!

  • :0 omg! Bruce sounds a lot like Robert Plant here O__o!!

  • This song is soo awesome. I wish I had it! T-T I need to figure out how to buy it..

  • on the album "best of bruce dickinson"

  • great song

  • Wow. its a great song!

  • I never knew this song existed. THANKS for uploading it!!

  • Waitin for the midnight hour.. Cool sounds somewhat like Fear of the dark, lyric wise.

  • Maiden should play this song live, l love it :D

  • you know, I bet Maiden could do it better .. Too bad there's no chance, right?

  • lol this was Bruce's very first recording so yea If Maiden did a remake it should sound way better

    Cheers

  • Świetna piosenka

  • no niezła jak na jego pierwszą

  • sounds like a mixture of Police, Rush and Drugs.

  • I think there exists another version of this song.

  • Only few of the most talented people have scored close to what Dickinson has.

Being on top since day ONE.

  • And 5 years later he was on Number of the Beast, at age 24. Not bad.

  • WOW...

A Maiden version would've been great...

  • yea. I wondered why he never re-recorded this.. either with maiden or solo

  • Oh my god, dude. Can you please put the song as an MP3 that I can download! I love this song!

  • wow that song is soooo cool never heAred it b4 thnx dude lol. i meAn even bAk then they were diff. i mean just listen to the song and imAgine its the year 77 not 09 ... see how diffrent they Are from the rest bAk in 77

  • Really? Do you have to type like that? Stop it.

  • Thank you.

  • He's been doin' it for a bit, eh!!?

  • it's so retro..."waitin' 4 the midnight hour" Seems 2 be he wanted be like Alice Cooper or King Diamond before he met Iron Maiden in 1979.

  • What band did he sing at this time????

Bruce was professional singer already in 1977 ???

  • the band was called Shots.

  • i think the description is totally wrong! bruce dickinson is not one of the best singers on earth!! HE IS THE BEST SINGER THAT EVER LIVED!

  • @Ultrarandomvideos hell yes he's god he's what makes iron maiden so fking amzing

  • @Ultrarandomvideos In The Galaxy

  • @Ultrarandomvideos No it's a tie between Bruce and Rob Halford The two best singers in metal.

  • @damageplan67 Can't throw out Dio... I'd have to say it's between Dio, Dickinson, and Osbourne. I totally respect Rob Halford, but his voice just doesn't hit me the same way as those three. However, I'm totally willing to put him in a top 4. My top 2 are always Dio, for his aggressively melodic voice, and Dickinson, for his enduring power.

  • @reapsoul964 young Sebastian Bach (singer of Skid Row, a very popular glam metal band everyone forgot) had an awesome voice - he had a way of singing that added small details in pronunciation, and he could hit very high notes. And I mean very high (your best choice would be The Threat, Makin' a Mess and Slave to the Grind). Plus, he made everyone gay, haha.

However he was kicked out after the band's third album and his voice went down.

  • This is not from '77. According wikipedia he was in Shots only in early '79 before joining Samson the same year...

  • Actually, yes it was. According to Bruce himself if you listen to my other vid "The Voice of Crube (Pt.2)"...and it was with Shots as his first recording session with them. He met the two brothers in '77, where they recorded 'Dracula' and played shows...until joining up with Sampson. Try not to state something with "according to wikipedia", too. lmao

  • Right. 1979 was the last year of Shots. Bruce recorded the track in 1977 while still in Speed but joined them definitely in middle 1978, i think. Although only Dracula surfaced from Bruce's vaults, it's firmly believed that Shots recorded 2 tracks for this session...

  • @TwilightAronXD You just go schooled!

  • Why would you beleive wikipedia

Wikipedia is just a bunch of kids putting stuff on

  • @agentcamo Yes, but if you go through it, you'll notice that for a bunch of stupid kids, it's amazingly accurate... MOST of the time. The reason? Good censors who are on top of their game and can mark the questionable stuff with a footnote and delete the total fucking bullshit. True, thay don't catch everything, but they do catch an awfull lot. So read it, cite it as a refference when neccesary, but ALWAYS take it with a small grain of salt.

  • @TwilightAronXD

according to 90% of the worlds population wikipedia is wroung in 40% of her subpages

  • @TwilightAronXD Because Wikipedia is such a reliable source right?

  • @TwilightAronXD wikipedia isnt factual.. its just a bunch of people writing whatever they want on a subject. theres no cited work on there.. well there is but wikipedia itself isnt responsible for such a thing, nor is the poster...

  • That's a fantastic idea for a song, I wish Maiden had done it. :)

  • This is bruce!!!!!

  • does anybody have the tab??

this song is too cool XD!!

  • opera ix, made a good cover

  • this is so cool! thank you very much for uploading =)

  • For the lyrics this song, remainds me "FEAR OF THE DARK".

    Dracula.

Walking through the town when the streets are bare in the night.Fear is at your heal but you kick it away, you're so sure theres nothing behind you .I bet you thought that I was a ficticous guy from the movie screen.

Fear.I am a man who walks Thought you heard footsteps behind And turned around and no one's there? Watching horror films the night before Debating witches and folklores

  • Hehe, the chorus sounds like a song youd get on 1972 scooby doo ^^

  • possible inspiration for fear of the dark?

if you listen to the words

  • Even though it's not with them, this has the essence of Samson in it ;)

  • holy shit this is a fucking amazing song!

  • Wow this song is totally awesome!

  • the very first record, where bruce sound like bruce

  • did bruce record this with speed?

  • Nope...he didn't record it with Speed. He did the vocals for a these 2 brothers whom i can't remember their name at the moment.

  • Phil and Doug Siviter

  • Aha...that's them. Which then became the band, Shots...

  • Heh, well apparently he was good at singing at the age of 19 too.

  • the sound is exactly in seventies' style...

it seems like a Doors' song...

    great song however!!

  • what a find

  • very legend song.

  • cool song a little different but cool

  • Love this song.

Could be a Scooby Doo theme song :D

  • @ironjokk

it definitely could be one of those groovy tunes they always played during one of the many chase scenes in the scooby doo cartoons. ;) good call

  • Really cool song! \,,/

  • He said he recovered the tape from this recording.. and it was in pretty bad shape... so he had to restore the tape.. himself... with screwdrivers and the whole thing.....

He read this add in a paper for a band looking for a singer... so he went there.. and recorded that.

  • it's from his first band Shots, later he was in Speed, Then Samson, and only then in Iron Maiden

  • Cool :D

  • this is bruce? from what band?

  • I think it's before iron maiden, when he was "Bruce Bruce", not "Bruce Dickinson".

  • yup

  • Yea,he was yet a great singer...

  • really cool song

  • epic in some way

  • This song is AWESOME! Thx dude for uploading!
