Nice song, one of CC's best, but just a side note: Jacob was not the prodigal son spoken of in one of Jesus's stories. Jacob became Israel, beloved by God, and His chosen nation. The prodigal son was a wayward son who chose his inheritance over working for his father. Eventually he spent all that he had and ended up working for a pig farmer, eating slop with the pigs.
I know that my friend. The words of the song do not have direct connection with the clip. I just liked the music and put it in that song..But there is a deeper meaning concerning Jacob! Deep inside he felt like a prodigal son because he left his home stealing the birthrights from his brother and it came a moment in his life that he had to come back and face Esau and finf favor before him.
