  • good riddance.

  • @Jordonification Good riddance? He's the only one who gave good scientifically-backed health advice.

Anyone who tells you to eat whole grains is either:

    A.) Retarded

B.) Not a scientist and gets their health advice from a fashion magazine

C.) Hasn't done the research, even if they are a scientist. You really think humans that EVOLVED to eat meat are going to suffer from eating it? Lol.

Go ahead and find me a slice of bread in nature. If you do, I'll give you $100.

  • @RustyHeartsWiki Who said bread exists in nature?? You know what doesn't exist in nature? Humans eating meat without using weapons. That's right. Ever tried running a deer down, pouncing on it and eating it alive with all that warm blood gushing out? Does that sound appealing to you? How about not using weapons to catch your prey?

What DOES exist in nature is fresh, ripe, raw organic fruits and veggies. What we are designed for.

Lets leave the road kill to the wolves.

  • @RustyHeartsWiki As for the whole grains...

Explain how the longest lived verifiable civilizations on this planet have had some type of starch as the foundation of their diet. Explain how grains, beans, legumes, and fruits are bad? Explain to me how you can look past this evidence and completely ignore it? You sir need to go back to school and learn BASIC GRADE 1 HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY.

Come out training with me any day, I'll woop your fat atkins ass!

High Carb/ Low Fat for life!!!!

  • @Jordonification I think you'd be interested in the work of Loren Cordain.

  • @flyoverjoe Loren Cordain is fat and out of shape. I think it was durianriders who did a video on him you should have a look at. I think you'd be interested in the work of Douglas Graham.

  • @Jordonification Yes, I'm very familiar with Harley Johnstone. If you base your opinion on Dr. Cordain from Durianrider, you're doing yourself a disservice. I just started reading 80/10/10 by the way.

  • @flyoverjoe I read the paleo diet by cordain and it didn't make sense to me the way the 80/10/10 diet did. Low carb diets don't make sense, if they did I'd jump on it!

  • @Jordonification Fair enough. It's funny because from what I've read so far I was thinking the exact same as your last post. Except I would switch Cordain with 80/10/10.

  • Well done Bob ! I lose weight easily when I want to, on your great diet. Your opponents were, frankly, idiots.

  • so wot things should i eat for atkins, and what to avoid\??

  • Aww RIP

  • Many people, including myself owe their present state of health to this man. He continually fought an uphill battle fueled by his own undeniable belief.

    He was a true revolutionary.

  • I have been on the Atkins diet for a year now and it has saved my life. Thank you dr Atkins!

For the person asking if you gain weight after you stop: You never stop if you do it right. I don't ever want to go back to all the carbs that made me sick and fat, I never even cheat, because I don feel the need to :)

  • atkins diet got me off insulin...now im full of energy...even my vision improved

  • Its a pity he slipped on some darn ice which took his life. He was so young too :/

too bad his diet wasn't good. Recent studies have proven it could cause cancer and not enough nutrients are given to the body. Just exercise plenty, eat lots of fruit n veggies and cut down on your portions n sugar and you will be one healthy barbie ;]

  • So little fruits, grains, and noodles on this diet? Lame. I'm going to the gym instead. Lifting weights, running on treadmills, and biking across the countryside all while enjoying plenty of carbohydrates, and my body is looking lean.

  • 3:53

"I bet he's orchestrating that from up from heaven but I believe he would be ecstatic?"

    What does he mean?

  • boo to the guy at the end

  • god bless him. he help me so much , i did atkins for almost 10 years .and i was happy with my weight . still do it most of the time. glad that he found love in his life. i like the look of his wife, thank you so much for showing this .

  • Jackieo12345, thank you! I always love reading a low carb success story!

I'm low carb because I'm hypoglycemic. I'm 6 feet, 4 inches tall and 196 pounds. I don't need to lose an ounce. Low carb is for over all health, not just for losing weight.

I wish you all the best!

  • Thanks Dr. Atkins Diet, these stupid scientist just don't seem to get it. Even if Atkins diet is unsafe, it's still a whole lot better than what most teenagers nowadays consider in order to lose weight: Ecstasy. Believe me, Atkins is safe compare to drugs.

  • I'm going back on this diet. I lost almost 70 pounds in 5 months the first time I did it.

  • I dont care what they say!! I'm going Atkins!!!

  • @Lionoftruth67 haha me too just bought the book :)

  • thank you Robert Atkins!

    your diet changed my life

i tried it once and was impressed right away!

Again thank you. thank you so much.

  • R.I.P. Dr A

You changed the world, and others could only hope to do the same!!

  • It is ironic because, though Atkins was a doctor, his life very much reflects the life of an eccentric artist. Just like an artist, he was ridiculed during his life, only to be vindicated after his death, and to be elevated to place of esteem due to his craft.

  • @alphacause Very well said :)

  • thanx doc

  • R.I.P. Dr.Robert Atkins

  • Bravo! loveddd this clip 5 stars!

  • Dr.Atkins is an amazing man

He had a true passion for what he believed in.

    R.I.P Dr.Robert Atkins

  • Amazing man

    Thank you

  • Dr Atkins reminds me of Gary Null.

Let's face it...the world rulers don't want people living too long for a variety of reasons. So of course, they will stomp any health plan that results in long life.

  • I dropped 40 pounds in two months and kept it off on this diet, plus a lot of exercise. During the weight loss and beyond, I felt/fell better than I did before the diet: more energy, better mood, etc.

I sure as hell don't eat that bad tasting Atkins fake food and I don't believe in eating tons of any kind of food, but I can safely say the basic Atkins diet WORKS.

  • i remember wanting to lose weight for the first time and i was nervous for gaining more than i lost like so many others.i use to work for a family in ny that had the book and i started to read it and came to understand his theories. it was one of those books i didnt want to put down and i didn"t! as a matter of fact, i read it twice, and often went back to it for reference but never went on it until i stared working as a bus driver.i put on more weight than ever before(please read next comment)

  • YOU'RE THE BEST DOC!!!!

    Rest in peace.

  • god bless his soul he was agood man .

  • I don't see why some people complain about the atkins diet being low in fiber. he does reccomend veggies in his book and a lot of it. how are vegetables low in fiber?

  • @Chaaarge

Not only does he recommend veggies but he strongly recommends complex carbohydrates ( dietary fiber ). These do not count in Atkins as carbs because the body does not digest them.

  • @dartplayer170 I know what you mean, but complex carbs are digestible. Fiber and complex carbs are not the same thing. I mean, oats are a complex carb! They do digest slower than simple carbs though

  • @Chaaarge he also allowed to take a fiber supplement

  • I love this diet. I´ve been doing it for only 5 days and I´ve already lost 4 pounds :) I guess like in all diets the trick is to not go back to old bad habits.

  • Rest in peace and know that there are those who love you and will always remember you....

  • Thank you Dr. Atkins! You saved my life...

  • you were Gift from God to people in need , and Yes you were Right and rest of them Wrong ,You left lots of people forever greatfull to you , Your Name will never die.

    R.I.P. Dr.Atkins!

  • i totally agree with ya

  • Outstanding series of videos. Rest in peace, Dr. Atkins.

  • Why would I need to do that when I lost the 30lbs and maintaining. Atkins has nothing to do with bacon. You can eat fruit on atkins, just not ones high in sugar and low in fiber. YOu want high in fiber and low in sugar. Pasta is a worthless food and is what caused me to gain the 30 lbs in the first place. Maybe you should read about the eating plan before talking smack. Also, I raised my calories by about 50% to lose weight so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

  • no moron, you can eat fruits only that its generally prescribed once ur in the maintenance phase so most of the time it is allowed. And you are always allowed vegetables - which are generally better than fruits - and even during the strict ketosis phase you are prescribed very nutirious ones such as cabbage, spinach, artichokes, etc that have a high nutrition-carb ratio.

  • btw, u dont need pasta, bread, grain. Pasta is not needed and it is low in nutrition content. Bacon is not a staple food so it cant be compared to pasta, but pasta is and it makes a sucky replacement to the vegetables you should be eating instead.

  • I lost 30lbs by followin atkins advice in his books. It's so sad that some people still think he died of a heart attack. Atkins is about eating low sugar and avoiding highly processed foods, not just about meat and eggs.
