Can anyone explain what that means? What is 'the Hamlet stage' and how does it apply to Leo's career? I know of the Shakespeare play, but what exactly is The Hamlet STAGE? It seems like he's saying it's a phase. If so, what are the characteristics of that phase? I just don't quite understand.

I had heard Shakespeare mostly rewrote plays already in existence, some decades old or more... In all likelihood it would make the central plot elements not of his design, and only the dialogue *entirely* worthy of his credit.

If this is true, he wouldn't even be the ancient equivalent of Quentin Tarantino...

I saw Shutter Island last night and got bored quite a few times.I think Scorsese totally overdid it with the dreams,and the ending was so weak..call it a twist?,more like a pull and i was gutted.

Don't expect a great Scorsese movie this time.

Mr DiCaprio is a great actor. This interview shows how dedicated he is to the craft of acting. I wish Johnny Depp - his contemporary - would be more disciplined like this and less off-the-wall. Both men are easy-to-like, Leonardo is easier to respect.
