ok listen to me on this...a team somewhere needs to run out to the song "power" by Kanye west...before he says "i'm livin in that 21st century", the music is slowly getting louder and louder and when he says that, then sirens start start going off, and the lights go off. then, when he says "no one man should have all that power," smoke machines could be going off everywhere and the team runs out. tell me that would not be sick.
VT is a very good school for education, it is small as shit but it is a good school... take enter sandman and double it and put it on steroids, then make it a stadium wide whiteout, then put a better team and coach on the field and you come close to penn state
15 straight means nothing since you are in the acc...prob the worst conference that gets an automatic bowl bid if you win your conference
and joe pa himself has more bowl wins than any coach in history, he also has the highest bowl winning percentage and the most wins....plus we get to bcs bowl games
@fruticetum Look at the amount of ACC teams that won a BCS title game in the past decade, then compare that to the Big 10. Joe Pa has the highest bowl winning percentage out of any coach in Div. 1 college football for any coach who has played more than 10 bowl games. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Bring some stats to the the table.
@fruticetum My point is that the Big 10 is better than the ACC, by leaps and bounds. the ACC is the worst conference to get an automatic BCS bowl bid.
@fruticetum I am going to go strictly off stats, this is how it breaks down: Big Ten averages 3.666 National Championships per school in the conference (44 total), ACC averages 1 per school in the conference (13). Big Ten Averages 11.83 Bowl wins per school (Penn State being an out-lier w/ 27-13-2 record). The ACC averages 11.76 Bowl wins per school. (VT: 9-14 bowl record....side note: Joe Pa's Bowl record is 24-11-1 w/ 2 N.C.)
So how about you take those stats and shove them up your ass
Oh never mind that the Little 10 has been around since 1896 compared to 1953 for the ACC, or that the ACC only had seven members to start with, or that the ACC schools came from the Southern Conference which did not allow post-season football participation. And since you're using Penn State's overall bowl and NC record, I'll just throw in Florida State's and Miami's pre-ACC titles. We do that, and the ACC leads the Little Ten 9 to 4 the last 25 years.
hokie football rulz. they could loose every game and i'd still go to each one. i am a true fan. they'll be back on top in a couple of years once we get some experience back on the team.
I'm a huge Wake Forest fan and they're using Enter Sandman now and have the TyedieNation jumping up, saying Go Deacs, and down when the football team comes out but you guys created that.
i didn't know vpi had a patent on that song. but, think what you want. everyone is copying yoll, and they're all posers. btw, how 'bout them dawgs?!! the University of Georgia's punishing of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University simply shows how much better football is in the SEC, in comparison to the ACC.
Well maybe GT got confused which Tech was supposed to run out :P But yeah, VT's got a bad O-Line. Though we lost 3 or 4 starters from last year, and are starting a true Freshmen. Also, Glennon can't run like the last 3 guys (Vick, Randall, Vick)...so he's getting sacked more.
Yeah - it's a young team. It's one of those "rebuilding years" if i had to say. Not that we're necessarily playing bad, but not as strong as we should be. Give 'em time, they'll pull through
I'm shocked people didn't make a bigger deal that Georgia Tech ran out during "Enter Sandman". Everybody knows that is holy to Virginia Tech and was a complete slap in the face. Then again, I guess they realized they were going to be playing against a bunch of girls on the offensive line so they didn't really have much to worry about

Penn State's song is "Mr. Sandman".

If had an ACC-Little 10 Challenge, the ACC would probably win 8 of the 11 games.

penn state would rock v tech

I don't see it. VT gets stronger as the year goes on.

Greatest entrance in college football. I've been to all the stadiums Texas, Ohio State, Florida, Penn State. No place electrifies like Virginia Tech.

VT has been to 15 straight bowls. Penn State went through a couple of periods where the sucked, didn't they?

ACC is far better than the Little 10. Joe Pa is a senile dude. He won his games back when they used leather helmets. It's a different game today.

Then why has VT finished ahead of Penn State 7 of the past 11 years in the final AP poll? Ooops.

@naes101010
ACC is better than the Little 10 from top to bottom.
1. VT beats OSU
2. Florida State and Miami beat Michigan, Wisky, and Iowa.
Then on the bottom, Duke and UVa beat Northwestern and Indiana.
