They live on two sides of a coin... Bayonetta fights corrupt angels, while Dante ceaselessly dispatches demons. Devil May Cry 1 was the ONLY game where Dante openly used his devil form, and only because he was fighting the very lord of Hell, himself. Since then, he's done nothing but toy with every single demon he's come across. I haven't played Bayonetta yet, but I doubt she'd openly attack Dante without reason, nor have much a chance against someone with so many powers at his disposal
