  • How do you charge(lets say casshern) flashes funch or alexe's punch thingy(lol)

  • its sad how this game only lasted one year...this has to be one of the more balanced(except giants) games out there!!

  • IM SO READY FOR MVC3

  • wow u must be a really awesome pro at this game

  • Now I have to figure out how to hack Baroque into Brawl...

  • i just keep haveing problems lunching people in the air its such a pain in the butt. when im ryu he keeps doing a hadouken or just does a low sweep.

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE ONE PIECE STICK!

  • why on earth did they put pop ups as diagonally forward and down instead of just down? now every time i go to air combo someone accidental uppercuts come out instead.

  • @cyberpsygen7 because that's how it worked in Project Justice, Capcom's fighting game which featured pop-ups and air-combos prominently.

  • Very nicely done. Thanks for the upload!

  • This is so good!

    Well down :>

  • Imma get active on this game. I even ordered an arcade stick an all. I never owned any fighting games in my life except for the smash bros games. Now that a good fighting game is out on the wii, I'm gonna try to get good. Thanks for the tut man.

  • 3 attacks button that seems week guess there is no more 6 button fighting

  • awesome! thumbs up. great man

  • Thanks Keits

  • how do you play as zero

  • So is there a way to cancel a taunt after a tag? I always have this problem. Whenever I tag normally my character will jump in - attack - then leave themselves wide open for an attack by automatically taunting afterwards.

  • @FoxFan12 Variable Raid, or setup a situation where the opponent can't punish you (I sometimes tag in when my opponent throws a projectile, I take a little damage, but I end up full screen with a small reserve of Baroque)

Another approach is to just DHC, use a move that pushes the opponent full screen and DHC out to give you time to figure out how to approach.

  • Goddammit. How is it possible for me to suck at this game so freaking bad?

  • I really liked your video bro.

  • Okay, I'm having problems with the Advance Guard, I hit ABC while blocking but all my character does is dash. What am I doing wrong?

  • @AndyMac1369 You have to do it while in blockstun, as in, actually blocking an attack. Not just holding back.

  • how do you break away on wiimote and nunchuck because g lightan and ptx are spamming there thorowing ability.

  • @jhonsebastiantv I don't think there's a way to be able to, since the Wii remote and Nunchuck setup can't differentiate between light, medium and heavy attacks. A break away occurs when you input the same direction as your being thrown and a heavy attack button press at the same time - I've shown how it's like in my tutorial I've made for the Classic controller.

  • Whoa! just the vid that I was looking for, thank you for making it =)

  • is will stick good enough? i mean are they smooth enough for a 100combos

  • Great vid. Really helped me out.

  • please reply: do you think a ps2 adapter for a ps2 joystick is compatible with the xbox 360

  • nice stick! did you notice luffys voice actor in this game?

thanks for the video it's helped a lot!

  • how cann you do assist while in the air? and how do I do that Tekkaman spinning thing in the air with the Gamecube controller.. Like on the floor you have to go down and charge then up and attack, but on air that doesnt work, and how do i do it twice? :|

  • @FingerrFucked You can do an assist at any time (other than when your blocking or being hit, or doing a super) - You'd just press the partner button -

For Tekkaman's Spinning lance attack, you'd hold down for a few seconds, then press up - and then the attack at the same time as pressing up - To do the attack in the air, you'd need to hold up a bit longer than normal, and delay the attack button press slightly - so you'd still charge the down, press up, pause slightly, then attack.

  • Hmm, what's better to use, Classic Controller or Gamecube? :P Idk I use GameCube but I dont have a big hand so it's kinda hard to baroque haha

  • I don't get the variable counter: 7:11

can someone please help me? He says press forward while you are blocking? How in the world are you supposed to do that. :|

  • @FingerrFucked kind of like the parrying on SF3 do it at the exact time you block a hit , sounds hard but it's not

  • What about people who use classic control, because they dont want to spend $80 on a assesory for one game?

  • Still have plans for character specific tutorials or working on them? I hope so :3 *Subscribed*

  • This is one of the best, if not the best, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom videos I have ever seen.

Well done explaining a lot of things in detail.

  • Great video. I read about the various systems in the manual and on TvC fansite but its alot better seeing it demonstrated in real-time.

  • Now.. Do char specific guides and such go further in the system a bit. I feel like theres somethings you didnt explain.. Because now im really looking into to TvC..*After watching MWC 2k10

With me being a MvC2 player.

    Thanks Keits..

  • i love versus series but i hate infinites

  • Very informative video covering the basic & advanced techniques needed to beat Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Thank You very much.

  • Very helpful video! Nice to see how the system works visually. I also didn't know there was a PS2 to Gamecube adapter!

  • Good tutorial. Looking forward to seeing vids for my favourite characters.

  • I don't understand what you mean by A,B,C and stuff. -_- I'm using Wiimote and Nunchuk all the time, will it still make sense to watch this? :o

  • @TheNiqquh It's been 3 weeks since your comment. Ignore this if you already understand, but if not. If you use the wiimote and nunchuck. It won't make sense.

  • brawl sucks

  • @puchademono Brawl is the best game ever made.

  • @rrp9126

lolhow. its just a fun party game, cant stack up with srs games

  • how do i do an air combo with wii remote and nunchuch style?

  • I just got this game a couple days ago...and i have been having trouble understanding the more in-depth aspects of the game. I was stuck reading the manual in order to find some things out. This video is amazing, and has helped immensely....SUBSCRIBED.

  • thank you for this video

  • Thank you for this video. I cannot wait to see you play live at the Midwest Championship.

    [GRAPSF]Chauncy "TRU" Talon

  • ive been looking for something like this since the game came out....best TVC info vid that ive seen.

  • Wow. I was looking for this all over. Thanks dude :D

  • is it tru, when u do alot of hits in a combo, the later hits will get weaker?

  • interesting

  • nice video men!! you rock!!!

  • omg ily thanx for the tutorial!

  • This is amazing.

  • Is there anyway to....Force your opponent to partner switch? Alex had done this to me once in an air combo "Kicked" my main character out for my partner, I can't find any information on this...Thanks (:

  • It's called "Snapback". Only Alex, PTX-40A and Gold Lightan can do it though.

  • What's the song at the theme of this game?

  • I think it's called "Across the Border."

  • Yea I just checked your older video and this one is tons better. good job man and thanks for this, consider yo ass subb'd

  • Nice Guide

  • LanHikari7 sorry i didn;t hear him -_-

  • rockeits what controller was you using for this game?

  • ...Did you watch the video? He says which controller he uses: The arcade stick. -___-

  • Just wanted to say. As someone that got into competitive gaming with Smash, and remembered playing MvC2 back in the day and loving it.

As a primer and a return to the Capcom fighter(which I haven't played since MvC2 was new) this Primer/Guide is AMAZING. Seriously. Really helped me understand the game better.

  • i just got this on 2-5-10 and kept playing on the weekend i just getting a taste of what the fighters can do one of my favorites is alex.

  • Thanks for the video, this was very helpful.

  • good stuff

  • great videos man very well done

  • Dude, you have an image or link to that magic series pic. Would love a copy of it!

  • How do I determine A, B and C on a GCN controller?

  • @traped212 in the video he tells you A=LIGHT ATTACKS,B=MEDIUM ATTACKS and C=HARD ATTACKS Now by defalt on the game cube controller Y=LIGHT,A=MEDIUM and X= Hard/Strong but you can change those around which is why you should look at the buttons as a,b,c which is strong, medium and light and not just x,a,y which is the same thing but could be change around depending on preference.

  • wow, you lost me at 3:49, i dont even know how to cancel jumps or attacks, let alone half the stuff you said in the video, im thinking of returning my game... guss i was never ment to enjoy or be kinda good at fighting games. ( ; _ ;)

  • Just keep practicing! It's so worth it when you really know what you're doing and you can destroy your opponent. Trust me!

  • tatsunical indeed ^_~

  • Good job man. A+

One of the BEST fighters out there

  • Im still deciding whether I should get this or NMH2

  • =\ aw man, my grandma still keeps beating me.

  • Nice vid, really helpfull. Although I'd rather this split up in two vids cause it's a bit hard to follow all that when you're talking that fast. Great vid anyway. 5/5

  • teh awzm111!!!!! THXXX

  • Hey man,do you know if there's a way to use ps3 fightstick with the wii? or using an wii or gamecube adapter with the ps3 stick?

    Thanx

  • I have a USB Ps3 stick,i'd also like any info if possible.

  • There are no USB, PS3, or 360 to Wii or Gamecube adaptors that I know of. If you are not an artifact from the previous era of competitive fighting and do not own a PS2 stick, I'd suggest buying a wii stick if you are serious about this game. You can play on a gamecube pad or classic controller as well if you want.

  • @Rockeits what do u use?(controller)

  • thankyou for this maybe ill be better at this game now since i can use the system feature instead of just whiffing an sticking to basic combos

  • Faved and Subscribed. THX!

  • Awesome. I didn't read the manual, so this helped a ton better than me fumbling around learning by the seat of my pants.

  • NIce tutorial Keits, I like the One Piece stick as well =).

  • THANKS Keits!

  • This really gave me a new perspective on the VS series. I saw all the videos of pros doing stuff like this, but i had no idea how they ever did it. Really makes ya respect them more, rite?

  • i feels like its all too hard.i will always be a noob T_T.although thats how i felt about brawl at first.

  • brawl is for children though

  • How is Brawl for children? dumbass

  • Your kidding right? Smashbros is one of the most competitive fighters out there, do you even know what ur talking about?

  • Melee is even more competitive than Brawl, check out some pro matches and you'll see what I mean..

  • In the case of Brawl, a large competitive community DOES NOT equal a competitive fighting game.

I love Melee. I think it's an awesome game and it has a great competitive scene. I was specifically referring to Brawl, which was clearly created with the casual audience in mind.

If you want a real competitive modern fighter, try BlazBlue, TvC, SFIV, Melty Blood, Arcana Heart, etc...

  • @sonny102 Ok I guess it is safe to say that Brawl is on the casual side but Melee is another story..

  • @triforcegamer64 Melee is awesome.

  • @Mofat Agreed!

  • NAWCE. I'm gonna go try not to suck now.

  • Nice. 5 stars. =D I needed it.

  • Epic One Piece cont don't like it make your ownroller man I want this game oh those who conplain about this tutorial shut up if you

  • Awesome tutorial! This game is a must buy! Very newcomer friendly and easy to play! No linking 1frame bullshit like sf4 so you can ACTUALLY combo! :) But don't buy it for wi-fi its horrible on wifi.....ugh

  • My friends showed me this today to help me get up to speed with the crazy stuff they did. This has helped a LOT. I'm experimenting with the handful of characters I like using now and finding all kinds of new interesting stuff because of this. THANK YOU.

  • im sold

  • Very nice tutorial, it gets very insane at the end, and very advanced. I'll have to try this stuff out. Thanks a lot!

  • this game sounds really awesome

  • ....WOOOOW!

  • great video man. thanks for all the hard work!

  • What in the hell is Tatsunoko?

  • Tatsunoko is a Japanese animation company. They have done a ton of things, a lot of which has no had great success or recognition in America. Science Ninja Team Gatchaman is probably the most popular in America, though mostly under different names. Much of the properties present here are form the 70s originally. Many have had sequels and remakes since. I think hulu or crunchyroll may have the Gatchaman OVAs

  • Nice One Piece Arcade Stick. Great Tutorial and Thanks.

  • Very good tutorial. I had a hard time understanding how to Baroque properly. Good luck with the cahracter specifics video. I'm looking forward to what combos to use wih Soki that I don't already use.

  • sorry i can't send money to your paypal. I still owe you five bux lol

  • fantastic keits!

  • You're a freaking BEAST!

    Excellent video, sub'd/5 stars/etc

  • Great video Rockeits! As a player new to this style of game I found your tutorial very very helpful. Thanks a ton man for all your hard work and I look forward to your character tutorials! Cough..cough...Jun the Swan..cough cough...Morrigan ^_-

  • Keits should have my babies and moderate my butt-vagina.

  • Hey man great video. I played the old vs games and that has been carrying me along. Your tut was very enlghtening

  • i met keits at battlefield X he is real nice and because of him i went out and bought a wii with tvc yes i supported capcom i want a squeal baby !

  • Keits, great video! This should help completely new players out a great deal. One thing to note / correct perhaps: The instruction manual lists two commands for a crossover air raid (VAC). The simple one, 6P, doesn't work and seems to be the notation for how to do it with easy mode controls only.

  • Nice video man,. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Good job.

  • Excellent Tutorial Keits can't wait for the Character Specifics Keep up the Good Work :)

  • Good tutorial Keits, this definitely looks like a fun versus game. Unfortunately I don't have a Wii though.

  • While I'm waiting!

  • great video man. really informative. i find this game is actually really easy to get into. cept the only part i dont like is the 3 attack button set up. is there anyway to change it to a 6 button punch/kick setup?

  • It was VERY Tatsunical, Keits. Good stuff!!

  • Thank you, very helpful for noobs like me. =D

  • I'd love to start getting competitive with this game. Thanks so much for this simple jump-in tutorial. Loved the "Tatsunical" shout-out at the end :P

  • Great tutorial. I already knew all of this (I've been playing since the Japanese release) but I appreciate you making this because it covers all the mechanics in the game so I no longer have to explain everything over and over again to the new players, lol. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for the tutorial, I'd been wondering how to use the baroque system

  • good tutorial yet again, im not a noob in fighting games but far from expert i never understood what a charge movement or how to do it can you or anyone explain how that works

  • hehe, you can do so much awesome stuff in the game. And now I know how to do 'em. :D

Good guide, I learned a lot.

  • .......Looks soo confuseing..... I was thinking of getting this game but now Im not so sure....

  • Its not confusing. You can ease into it pretty well.

  • @Rockeits Well it just looks so complicated and espically cuase i wasnt planning on getting that stick thing.

  • you don't need the stick setup to play the game, its only suggested for high level play. this game also supports gamecube controller, classic controller, wiimote/nunchuk setup, and even wiimote alone.

i've played the japanese version a bit and its a lot of fun. i strongly suggest picking up this game!

  • wow that was very good! I just wish it was on HD consoles so I dont have to buy a stick for my Wii which i never use

  • Very nicely done, this'll help all of the players of the new version learn the basics. It's pretty tough to explain concepts like blocking and cancelling because we're all so used to them.

Incidentally, would you permit the approximate HP totals for the various characters you worked out on SRK to be used in a guide? You'd be credited, of course.

  • Incredible video, extremely thorough.

Looking forward to the character vids now.

  • Awesome stuff, Keits. I really want to get into the competitive scene of this game, so all these pointers are more than welcome. :]

  • Really good stuff Keits. I don't see how anyone would pass up playing this game after seeing this.

  • so wuts the timing for the throw escape...is it qcf+a or just forward and attack

  • I have a question. When you do a baroque combo does the extra damage affect the damage of the super or does the damage stay the same? Also does mashing the supers help with damage like in Marvel vs Capcom 2?

  • Mashing only helps a couple supers. Namely, Rockman, Yatterman1 and Yatterman2's lv3 supers. If there are more, let me know! Easy to test this in training mode. BBQ damage does not affect super moves at all, but if a combo continues after the super, it still counts.

  • nice tutorial!

  • Good job Keits! This really helps.

  • Great video, Never thought I would be playing TvC but this game is fun.

  • keits let me buy that spare keyboard out of your closet. lmao.

  • Great job Keits, can't wait until the character specifics.

Hopefully this game stays hype for a good while, or at the very least until super comes out! lol

  • this is the best fighting game, i love it how all the characters basically share the same inputs for combos. great video by the way. this was tough finding out all this stuff on my own when i got CGOH. keep it up, ill link people to your videos if they ever leave me comments on mines

  • Good tutorial. Still can't pull off complicated combos or cancel well, but I still do well myself in these Capcom games (no where near champion level, of course)

  • Baroque

  • I didn't know the giants throws could be broken in that manner. Thanks for the info, but does that mean that the giant throws are actually useless? If so that's disappointing

  • Yeah, unless your opponent is sleeping, they are pretty hard to use. Fortunately, you can position yourself during the grab tech animation advantageously. More on that when giants basics videos come up.

  • For the record I was definitely one of the people who said this couldn't happen in the US. Happily eating those words.

  • I'm happily eating those $70 I paid for the import

  • I was the same. Im glad it came with a large update, too!

  • clean your keyboard plz

  • again, it was a spare keyboard sitting in a closet! I use a laptop with no numpad and just needed a photo of a numpad!

  • good voice and speech for the tutorial . i imagine for a lot of people an annoying face breaks the experience, but I def. have no complaints. Thanks!

  • Giving this too all the Smash kids hahahahaha.

  • Awesome video, man! Keep it up, dude. 5 stars + a subscription. Can't wait to see your next vids.

    THANKS!

  • really good tutorial, the "beroke" ? system looks like a cooler FADC style from sf4

  • Really appreciate the tutorial Kiets. When I first got this game I really wasn't into it due to being stuck with a GC Controller but since I'm purchasing the TvC Stick today this video gives me a lot more motivation to play.

  • good shit keits, im pretty sure the game is out worldwide right about now and people (myself included) are in need to a lot of help x)

  • Thanks for the tutorial! By the way, there's another typo at 1:55 or so (you spelled neutral as "nuetral")
