A famous YouTube pipe smoker is about to reappear!

PipeFriendCHS i need your help on this question so please answer.

When you smoke you tend to take long draws that produce thick smoke some times.

But other times you take small puffs and i wonder how in the world your pipe stays lit.

Im wondering because i like the thick smoke alot better then the thin puffs its just more athstetically pleasing.

But could taking longer draws harm my pipe?

You know, your giant bowled pipes remind me of when I first read "The Hobbit" as a kid, and Bilbo smokes "an enormous pipe reaching almost down to his toes". Instead of the ultra-long churchwarden Tolkein no doubt had in mind, I pictured this enormous BOWL which almost touched the ground!!!
