The international tribunal in The Hague, but the lawsuit clearly won Choi Jung Hwa. This means that the right techniques, symbols and the name "Taekwondo" Choi Jung Hwa own. Other organizations do not get the right to wear the signs of Taekwon-Do ITF and their equipment may not perform the same way as an organization Choi Jung Hwa. Just as it was forced to do Tae Kwon-Do WTF.

@sosanznojmo I'm not sure which lawsuit you're referring to, but he lost the lawsuit in Canada against then Grandmaster Tran so he doesn't own any symbols or names there. All these legal documents can be seen openly on tkd-itf (dot) org, which is still the largest out of the three ITF's (although I wish they could put their differences aside and just unite.. I mean, have three presidents if you want; a council, where each fulfills a specific mandate and all benefit because of it).

What happened after the death of the founder is known: after his death, several presidents of national organizations, has announced its own World Cup, the same did Choi Jung Hwa and North Korea did the same thing. ITF is practically broke into three different ITF and each made​a claim on the legacy of Taekwon-Do.

For me a simple answer: during the life of the founder of Choi Hong Hi in the ITF World Congress - all countries, all organizations agreed with the fact that the successor and the new prezitent ITF was unanimously elected his son, Choi Jung Hwa. Also, all Choi Hong Hi make sure his son as his RECOGNISE prezitent.

I wish GM Choi Jung Hwa would merge back with our ITF, then he could take what was his, this make the ITF very strong then. I am under Prof. Dr. Chang Ung. Check my video's, I am pioneer of Special Needs Taekwon-Do, from New Zealand, Hawke's Bay.
