The finest version of this "Hamp´s Boogie Woogie" is played faster, 1991 or 92 at Munich Klaviersommer, Hampton´s Golden Men of Jazz with the St. Petersburg Staatsorchester, it blows you away! I only have this as a mp3 but may do a video with pix up here, you MUST have listened to it! :)
My cousin came to visit us in about l947 He had just gotten out of the army. I remember hearing him sing this song early in the morning when he was in the shower. I was only about ten or eleven. My sister and I thought he was the greatest and like the brother we never had..
@ddamico3 I ,am completely Aware that He was one of The Best Vibraphone players in Jazz. He was also a "Very Talented Drummer" ,Ive seen Him Live And knew people that played w/ Him So go check out The videos on Utoob and see ..He also could out Twirl any Drummer today... Thanks
It's really funny if you pretends the sounds he makes at the beginning are caused by him having anal sex on stage.

Clark Terry....not Brock. The great Milt Hinton on bass, and Bill Cosby sitting in on drums (along with Alan Dawson). Super swingin'.

Now that was a great jam. Where is this from? Looks like Hugh Hefner at the very end. Great post!
