And if there's a design, there's normally a designer, now if that designer is perfect or all seeing or all knowing I highly doubt. @Seniter When people couldn't explain rain and thunder, they would dance to make it rain. The best example it a big car accident (that God allowed) then one one person survives, it becomes a miracle. It is totally ridiculous. I would believe in God, if church goers would be less sick or have less accidents. Or if religious marriages would outlast the non religious ones. Religious people have the same amount of random happening to them because there is no God to watch over them.

He shows himself in different ways to those that are called based on the teachings of the bible. You can apply this to just about anything. All this proves is that in life, good things happen and bad things happen... your choice of how to perceive something doesn't change the reality of what actually happened. I was noticing how god seemed to also hate trailer parks because of all the tornadoes he sent towards them.. but people in those areas are very god loving people... Maybe they weren't real christians, and the people in the suburbs of the cities in more expensive land areas I suppose were true christians. You just don't get it... look at it all.

Also what you basically said is that Christians are lieing if they talked about them finding God or in your analogy a pot of Gold at the end of a rainbow because one cant find the end of a rainbow. you are right because the pot of Gold found them but they didn't find it because they also believed once that a rainbow has no end. That is why they have zeal, revelations and are fools to the world.

@yoyo4085 As an atheist I just view all religious claims and stories objectively and find them all to be without reason to accept any supernatural claims. If a god/gods/deity (whatever) showed up tomorrow and performed supernatural acts, we wouldn't say, "oh we can't believe in you, we're atheists!" Evolution and the big bang have nothing to do with why I don't believe in your version of god. Your "God" is omnipotent? By your logic he could have created life however he wanted, and the universe.

@chicarbiomed So your atheism is fueled by the idea that "absence of evidence is evidence of absence". Now this is a fundamental misunderstanding of christianity. The idea that Christ doesnt show himself to his believers is not christian. He does show himself that is why there are millions of christians talking about the revealtions. In short their is not absence of evidence but the absence of faith to accept that evidence.

Furthermore, the fact that the theory of evolution is still short of 100% understanding of all the processes involved does not in anyway disprove that evolution actually occurred. We don't understand everything about the processes behind gravity... yet we know it happens and we understand enough to make predictions based on how gravity behaves. The big bang... no, we weren't there. But just like a crime scene we only have to put the pieces together and know a murder took place.

@chicarbiomed It is not a matter of it being short of a 100% understanding but the impossibility of proving it concretley like other scientific findings. Evolutions evidences are assumed to show change over time. That is the fundamental problem. Also gravity is a differn
