  • without pulley its a dangerous contraption, belt drives should always be connected via appropriate pulleys

  • There is nothing dangerous about driving a dynamo from the flywheel rim, thats how it was done on the small Lister bruston D type sets, the ones that were not driect coupled, how it was done on the CS startomatics sets. Allmost any belt drive generating set i can think of had the belt drive running from the flywheel.

    Spend time alighning it all correctley and there is no problem. This set has now been completed and has run many hours, the belt has never come off.....

  • Ha Ha! I have a new belt now thats about three times bigger! See the lattest video of this, it's running a lot better now as well and on more load too.
