I think that the radio makes these noises because it is cycling backward through all of the stations, only allowing about 50 milliseconds of each station, as it disintegrates.

To me when it is played forward, it sounds like GLaDOS saying "you will Now look at me" Or it could be someone or someTHING saying it. When it is played backwards, i swear, it sounds like someone or something is saying "You'r next" or "Im next"

And somthing about the name of the sound file really bothers me. Im not sure why but... it sorta reminds me about the art that was reallesed. It had two portals, one in a jungle and another in Apurture.

It sounds like the noise used in Transformers; the "strange audio" they got from the mars rover. I wonder if someone knows how to create that type of noise/static we could remove it from the audio and hear a clear message
