Nice video :) cool effect with the action figures around the dish. I'm wondering what's the trickling sound of water doing in the video? Is it from the dish or from another source? Just curious.
Thanks! The sound is the bubbling water in the roasting pan. The reaction between the dry ice and the water slows quickly because the bits of dry ice get a water ice coating pretty quickly.
the source of the actual bubbles is the dry ice. dry ice is frozen CO2. CO2 being a gas when it hits the atmosphere or anything hotter than its own temperature it reverts back to is gas form thus the fog, the bubbles are the gasses bubbling up through the water from the chunk of dry ice.
My Niece is a Doctor and they had vaccines delivered that day. It was quite a bit, which we broke up to get the most surface to interface with the boiling water.
By the way, The short length of the film is because I wanted to clear my kid out of the room and open the doors and windows.
no its dry ice and hot water it will do the same for room temp. water but not as much s000 yea the mist comes from the extremely cold dry ice reacting with the boiling water
Whoa that's crazy!! It looked so cool, as if the table were a fountain with water running over it ( :

the mist is solid co2
tabler1010 3 years ago
no its stille a gas but its heavier than air so it falls
skullwing04 3 years ago
Actually, the smoke is not the CO2 from the dry ice because that one has no color, it is water that condensates from the air.

wow i wonna try that

dryCO2 + hotH2O = SPECTACULAR FOG! Asphixiates any bugs on the floor but what would you expect in a Star Wars scenario?
