This is the only way I cook a turkey now. This will be the 3rd year (2009) I cook it in the ultimate turkey roaster. I cook a 12lb bird in 1 hour. It is according to my 20+ sons the best turkey they've ever had and that I've ever made. I cook over a single burner on my deck and free up my oven and stove to cook everything else. Love the roaster and purchased at Menard's in Chicago area for $40.
I bought one of these last year before Thanksgiving. I don't use it like this video shows...I use coals from a hickory and pecan fire, cooking with it like a traditional dutch oven. I put the roaster up on three bricks to elevate it so I can shovel coals up under it. I keep adding coals until I get quite a few piled around it. When the turkey is done, it is literally falling apart. Great product!!!
mmm nice ! my only complaint is why was this video in only 4 parts ? you should consider making your 4 minute video in 876 parts next time !
