PUBLIC OPTION !is the best but if you dont like it just buy something else.. there will always be private companys to go to...this is only for the uninsured and those who want it...I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE THINK THIS WILL LIMIT CHOICE? RIGHT NOW 47 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE NO CHOICE THEY HAVE NO HEALTHCARE AND YOU ARE PAYING THEIR WAY ALREADY!! This is little more than slavery through legislation. If we want to keep our currently employer-based insurance, then we can't ever think about changing jobs. By the way, the employers must be uniform to the public option.

Switzerland has a pretty good system. But we take the worst part and the only part I am critical of, the individual mandates?

I'm British. I hope you Americans will support healthcare reform. We like you guys. To have so many of you not covered by insuarnace at all and to be going bankrupt when misfortune befalls you makes many of us British people feel very sad for you.

Also, to go against healthcare may effectively kill Obama's presidency. Obama is the best leader you've had since JFK. Don't neuter him.

You don't have to lie- we know how many people in your country come here for decent health care. Also this bill has nothing to do with health care. It is a larger plan to be like you - Socialist-no thanks.

Hey you don't have to lie. You know The UK system is not liked by MANY of your people. It really is not about health care (because we have the BEST) - it is more a push toward Socialism like you enjoy in the UK.

thanks for the advice, but no thanks. what has made the U.S. cutting-edge healthcare system far superior to the british system is the majority attachment to productive capitalism. sure you can get a broken arm slung or an aspirin in britain.but when you really get in a medical predicament NHS in britain and other countries just won't do. i've seen poor and lower middle class people treated here and, believe me, they get the best care in the world and ON TIME.

Liked the treatment - near the end - of public option speculation in (mostly) the media.. Whenever any administration official says anything less than absolute support of just one configuration of "public option," media representatives ask, "Does this mean you're abandoning the whole concept of 'public option'?"

This 0-1, yes-or-no, all-or-nothing presentation of the topic by the media is not helpful to the ongoing, multi-faceted discussion of the whole topic of healthcare reform.
