  • Sullvan and Piper in Georgia at the same time. Imagine the possibilities.

  • At BattleStar '84, Dusty Rhodes & Manny Fernandez defeated Ivan Koloff & Don Kernodle for the NWA World Tag Team Belts. Ivan & Nikita turned on Don afterwards. Larsen came into the ring to his aid. Mr. & Mrs. Kernodle also came to the ring to help stretcher him out. It was then revealed that Keith & Don were brothers. One year earlier, it was revealed that Brett Wayne was Buzz Sawyer's brother.

  • rogers' physique is splendid. his upper back and trapezius are particularly impressive.

  • Wayne looks like the Boogie Woogie man.

  • @TheGeniemaster100 Who knew Wayne would become Honky Tonk Man.

  • Wait...Tommy kicked out. That match should have continued. Rogers got screwed!!!

  • A tag team of Kevin Sullivan & the Honky Tonk Man???

  • @Lfdjake91 Yeah, Watch Memphis wrestling from 81. Great stuff. Sullivan and Farris are founding members (actually Farris might have been the first new recruit - people were turning & switching alliances all the time in Memphis) of Jimmy Hart's first family. Them and the Nightmares made a great group. Watch the "First Family Backyard BBQ" video.

  • GCW had some of the best matches.

  • Tommy Rogers became a Fantastic, while Keith Larsen had a brief run with Crockett as Don Kernodle's "brother".

I guess Wayne Farris changed musical tastes when he went to WWF!

  • @zaius316 Larsen's real name is Wallace Kernodle. He's Don's brother, legit.

  • @zaius316 Larsen is Kernodle's brother. His name is Wally Kernodle, but they called him "Rocky".

Farris had the Honky Tonk gimmick for a 2-3 years before going to WWF. He started doing it in Southeastern in 83 or 84 (83, I think).

  • Sullivan was ripped on those steroids and looking good.

  • Tommy and Keith are classic hot jobbers!

  • Wayne Farris - he's cool, he's cocky, he's bad.......AND the greatest Inter-Continental Champion of ALL time!!

  • Tommy Rogers got a little push in Portland in the early '80s. He was a good worker -- not so good on the stick.

  • Odd pairing, but GCW had a lot of great talent.
