@AviatorItaly when you said she was 'sturdy as a rock', you sure weren't lying. That takeoff was straight as a line, I've never seen one do it that good.

And just like my Stearman....
May just 1/4 power take off.
I loved going full power with brakes on- Raise the tail- then roll out at around 50 feet. Off the ground.
Nice little something for spectators.
I know most have see bush cubs do this, but not a plane the size of a stearman.
Loved doing that along with other neat stuff.
Upside down, 10 feet off the deck was another favorite for the folks here in the neighborhood.

Just the best plane I have ever owned.
I could always depend on it.
Very Very safe plane to fly.
