Gifted and talented in my opinion is a load of rubbish. It may be different in the USA but in England it's rediculas. Me and anouther boy in my class had got some of the highest grades but we never got in!

@jamesdyer1997 Sadly you are only too correct. It is a load of drivel no matter where you are. I am in it and we learn nothing. In my opinion It should focus on academics rather than The nonsense it preaches.

@jamesdyer1997 you are obviously not gifted. You do not understand all that makes someone 'gifted'. The word makes it sound like a prestigious club when in all actuality gifted people are no different in soley academic (in the way you describe it- being grades). A student can be a hgih-acheiver and work hard to get good grades. When a 'gifted' student has profound understanding of a single subject or sometimes multiple. They develop asynchronously and have a lot of toruble because of it.

@jamesdyer1997 Also... maybe if you weren't so into the prestigious sounding label you wouldn't be so concerned as to whether or not it is a real thing. Rather go on living your life and allow for others to get the needs they need to suceed.
