I'm sure there were some good players, though I don't know of any of Eddie's stature. Ivor Mairantz springs to mind, but he was a later generation. Must investigate... :-)
Plectrum guitar is just right for this tune, and you do a great job on it. Re your reference to Eddie Lang: I wonder if there were any guitar virtuosos in Great Britain around Eddie Lang's time - the twenties.
Will--GREAT JOB...you continue to display more and more talent. You must have gotten my share, since other than I can not sing, can't play and have no talent, I would be a star!
THANKS for sharing your blessed talent with us mere mortals.
LOVE IT WILL just love it!! 5 stars but I LOVE JAZZ play more will ya Jazz that is you know one I really like is songs from The Mills Brothers & also INK SPOTS my mom has some ole 78's of these guys and I just gave them too my daughter & new son-in-law!:) PLAY MORE PLEASE TKS! DJ
Another great example of your wonderful talent Will and your guitar sounds sweet buddy....Looks and sounds like a Martin...I tried out one that looked a lot like yours a few days ago at a local music store and just loved it...such a different sound than any other make of guitar. Good job my friend...I love this old song too...you got my wife singing along!
For someone who is only fingerpicking a few years, trying to play some lead and working out how to produce multi-track recordings, your an inspiration. A beautiful tune with some really tasty playing.
Thanks - glad you like it! I use an 8-track digital recorder to multitrack - more expensive than just using a computer, but much more effective and sophisticated. My website (URL) above has a whole series of pages describing how I do my recording. :-) Will
Thanks Will, I've already downloaded a few tabs but I will check out the recording section. I was thinking about buying an 8-track but will persevere with the computer for a bit longer.
Amazing.
