  • conformity... giving life the finger... asshole lol

  • really retarded convos going on.

  • Would be cool if it was a HORROR MOVIE.

  • God, this is brilliant. Every part of the movie, the Zach Galifianakis acting, the dialogues, the non-sense scenes. One of the smartest scripts i've seen lately. Anyone else noticed the reference to Aldous Huxley's Brave New World on this?

  • To make a real dark comedy you got to make the characters have problems mke the lighting dark and pail and have the movie movie get twisted now thats how you make a real black comedy

  • Probably one of the best, most thoughtful comedies to come out in a while. Not to say that you need to be a 'genius' to understand it or anything. Just saying some good though was put into it; along with an extremely well written script, nuanced directing, and incredible performances from every cast member, this movie became very high on my list.

  • shit film

  • this movie had some funny parts, but i didnt watch it because of its humor, i watched it because it was actually a very unique social satire, i honestly feel like we live in a society fyll of mindless robots that dont even know that they exist. school, work, then die....thats what life is now

  • I really enjoyed this movie. You have to actually think about the meaning instead of getting it spoon fed to you like the majority of movies now days. It was really refreshing. You should give it a watch if you haven't seen it yet.

  • HOW DO I COOK METH

  • if you are a Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Chris Tucker, Seann William Scott, little bit of Steve Carell, Ken Jeong, Kevin James, Jim Parsons, Jason Biggs, Mike Epps, Zach Galifianakis, Paul Rudd, Kal Penn, Vince Vaughn, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, Seth Green, Danny McBride, Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan, Marlon Wayans, John Witherspoon, Never stops being funny Nick Swardson. you most probably wont like this movie :) i watch there movies EVERY DAY. but give it a try you might just like it

  • Most people who don't like this movie generally depend on authority and like to be fed what to believe along with what they are seeing.

  • @JerseyFinch I am blown away at how confidently you can make such a sweeping generalization about the opinions people hold for something that is inherently subjective.

  • This looks bizarre but in a good way.

  • fake

  • @roboticunclephil its a real movie douchebag

  • Every part of thismovie you could possibly find funny was just shown. So dont watch expecting it to be funny.

  • This movie was a pile of self-serving shit and I didn't even see it.

  • I don't know how people can't love this movie. Its not difficult to understand. Albeit it is presented in a semi-confusing way...the concept is extremely simple. If you don't feel extremely good at the end of watching this film, you're a fucking fool. Simple as that.

  • i heard this movie sucked.

  • @thejabberwocky1234 i agree, i watched the first 25 min of it and had to turn it off. it's annoying.

  • You guys shouldn't pretend to get it, and those that do should keep their traps shut about it as well. You're all making yourselves look like a bunch of idiots.

  • This movie is the biggest bullshit! You've already watched the movie if you watch this tailer. I rented this expecting it to be funny, and guess what! I expoled. I want my fucking dollar back!

  • @Mr503Productions Expoled? :D Some ppl watch the trailers before watching the movie it self

  • The movie basically tells the story that American society is preferring the appearance of happiness over actually being happy.

  • this movie sucks my hairy ass pussy cunt dickskin!!!!

  • @2CINCYBOY

And cincy is the 2nd worst city in the nation next to Cleveland. Go watch transformers again kid.

  • i kidna feel like i've seen a large portion of this movie already just by the trailer...

  • This movie was amazing. This was literally the first movie I cried from.

  • i watched this movie. freaky stuff. it's like the jeffers company is the government and is controlling the world and is brainwashing everybody. the way don't explode is to talk to people and not get caught up in all the crap "Mr. Jeffers" is giving you

  • It is Fahrenheit 451. Pick up a book and read dip shitz

  • cha-os

  • rented this the other night it sucked dick and put me to sleep

  • @IgotGreens101 you suck dick

  • @MrThejonnyb wow good one bet that took some time for you to think up. did u even watch this?? if so you more than likely laughed like twice like i did.

  • You don't have to be genius to understand this movie. Some people like dark, dry comedies, other people don't. It's like someone can like Nirvana, and hate Lady GaGa. It's not for everyone. Just say "I didn't like this movie" rather than "This movie is awful."

  • Whoever says that you have to be a "genius" to understand this movie, I respectfully refuse, and would kindly suggest that you shut the fuck up. People, this film is about denial, repressed feelings, and the sacrifice of our most beloved things in order to fit into a society that is giving you the finger to your face off with a smile. It reminds us; We don't have to sacrifice who we are for some glorified happiness. "Happiness is being happy!" No one can tell you what you need, but you. -Live.

  • @ACTheShow but a great movie would not make it so obvious

  • this movie is fuck#d up 0.o. a psycho killer pervo must have made it

  • I just watched it... spectacularly awful. I waited for it to get good, and, well, that never happened.

  • "kill the thing you love"

  • I T hink I Just Got Mind Fuck =o

  • Its total chaos

  • Man some people just think too one dimensionally. I guess you truly do have to be intelligent to get this movie. If more people would actually understand this movie they would realize what a masterpiece it was. And I still find it extremely hilarious personally.

  • 11 people exploded

  • i loved this movie! new facorite, funniest movie ever, takes genius to understand its comedy

  • Why?....

  • stupidest movie i've ever seen. "i just got stupider from watching that movie"

  • @CRapanci17 funny, reading your comment had the same effect on me

  • awesome movie... seen it on Netflix

  • it only seems interesting to me because i can somewhat relate. i believe i was made for something more than the 9 to 5. jeffers morning to you if you're not fine with that.

  • 1:59 <--- Best part

  • wow, I can't believe how many people like this movie, this should be rated R, for Retarded, this movie makes no freaking sense, it's a horrible movie,

  • @Mezcal2008 you just don't have the brains to understand it, this is my new favorite movie!

  • deep movie! that's the true: material stuff doesn't matter, 'cause we are all mere mortals. have a huge house, a top car, a boat and play Golf at weekend will not makes you better as person; just as a figure, a stupid robot made by the system! i mean, have not the "absolutely true" in the world, people only do what is better for themselves, but the material detachment seems like the right way to be really happy. I wrote this text behind a computer, but who said i'm happy? so...

  • @parkourniceman agreed!

  • Song name

The Polyphonic Spree - A New Beginning (from Visioneers)

Like this, as this is a very hard song to find.

  • @Rustyloveproductions It's probably an analogy because we never see our kids.

This movie is probably a lot deeper than most realized, not to be a douche but I watched it a fucking dozen times when I had no net and found TONS of stuff I missed the first time through.

The two films I recommend to everyone with the smallest spark of decency are Fight Club and Visioneers.

  • I WANT THAT SONG!! But it's nowhere to be found :c

  • @FragdaddyXXL shazam

  • Comment removed

  • I can not really explain why, but I cried like a newborn baby for almost an hour after watching this movie, although has a happy ending

  • Death to suburbia!

  • Great movie. I recommend it to everyone. I describe it as 1984 meets Donnie Darko and Napoleon Dynomite. A hilarious movie with surprising depth. Galifinakis does a great job in this one.

  • @vishnu219 Perfect description.

  • whats going on at 1:15 ?

  • @OliversMovies Someones exploding.

  • This movie is a part of the growing trend of "comedies of tone," where nothing is overtly funny yet, somehow, it's a comedy. I really don't believe in that school of screenwriting. In truth, Visioneers fails as a comedy and going into the movie expecting to find one will be disappointed.

  • @docpepperclassic That being said, the movie exceeds as a drama that acts as a warped lens of the 21st century, where everyone is in desperate search of true happiness and everything is sacrificed in the name of productivity. There's an overbearing tone of anxiety and you feel just as trapped in this hollow life as George (Galifianakis) does. This all leads to a final scene that is truly terrifying. Above all, this is a movie with a soul to it and should not be dismissed for "not being funny."

  • This is the first time I've even heard of this movie!! WHY!!!!!!! This is such a great concept. Where can I buy this!!!!

  • Amazing movie!! I can't descrive better the society.

  • The trailer seems to be daring you to watch the film. Considering the condescending tone of many who've posted defending it, that's a dare probably best left unaccepted. When the only people you can discuss a film with are jerks, it's time to read a book instead.

  • no matter how hard i try to like this movie i fail. it is just so terrible. it wasn't amusing to watch in anyway. I felt like i was being forced to watch it.

  • @TheBumperkartkid Do remember the part of the movie when the oldies station was replaced by the slap happy show? A theme of the movie is that is human to feel pain and emotion. It is human to be dissapointed with what life has given you. Amusing is not everything.

  • This movie was the GAYEST movie in the world. i saw a trailer of it on demand and it looked stupid funny, so i bought it and it sucked so hard. Dont let me exploded, what kind of movie is this

  • @BonJovifan1100 what kind of comment is this?

  • im cool and uniq, i have strong undertones you cannot buy, or even begin to understand. This film and myself are one. But if everyone likes this film then i will no longer like it because it is mainstream. Certainly the people that made this film were not intending on people to actually see it or even like it.

  • @77Hog77 LMFAO!!!!!!!! OMFG...LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL...NO SERIOUSLY. LOLOLOLOL....SHUT THE FUK UP..LOL OMG..LOLOLOL UR SO FULL OF SHIT. OMG I LOVE YOU...NO BUT SERIOUSLY SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @77Hog77 Ah Jesus, you're a sandwich short of picnic.

  • Aren't all you guys the same people who watch 4 hours of a plastic bag blowing in the wind and see a deep and meaningful message of life and how that even in freedom, we are still trapped in the breeze?????

  • @telkevolon Dude this movie ...is beyond words. Well I guess I can.

Its about how this world creates standards and goals to be met, for a false sense of happiness and accomplishment. So much so that real happiness can be the hardest thing to find. A world filled with people pretending that what they are enjoying is true happiness. Different people trying to find happiness. And the steady sadness of the fact that most people don't.

Constantly on the edge of giving up, or blowing up.

  • Trailer makes this film look like one big retarded Will Ferrell Skit.

  • Movie was great. It personally felt like the overwhelming feeling of anxiety you feel just before a panic attack, then its released by whatever your trigger may be by way of a fantastic ending. (This is what this taunt planet us coming to if were not careful!)

  • @jiayunlim Tim DeLaughter and the Polyphonic Spree, Viosioneers

    a new beginning

  • Very good movie. I can't, however, support the "follow your dreams" abandon your spouse motif. Give the finger to your job, etc.. in order to keep your dreams alive, fine. But, not family, not a spouse. Honor overrides dreams. To quote Aunt May: I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams."

  • @ActaNonVerba71 A spouse is just another occupation. Give it the finger. Run away.

  • what the fuck did i just watch?

  • Am I the only one to see that this is just a slight variation of Fahrenheit 451? Say Clarisse survived, and Guy was an office worker who dreamed instead of read books, and there wasn't a war going on.

  • quiet possibly the most underrated movie of all history

  • Although I prefer 'Harrison Bergeron', I can completely relate to the theme of this movie. Order is oppression! Chaos is freedom! Down with order! Down with society! Self-liberation a go go!!

  • @IggyHazard But wats up with than man. Unfortunatly you cant just step out of your house and liberate your self.

  • @JonnyRocketfingers7 Well, yeah, it's not easy. Did you ever see Terry Gilliam's 'Brazil'?

  • @IggyHazard No I havn't, will see if I can. But watching the trailer I can see that Visioneers was very inspired by it.

  • This looks very interesting, kind of reminds me of Brazil. But why do so few independent filmmakers make the effort to have Closed Captioning or subtitles for the hearing impaired? Aren't people with imperfect hearing allowed to enjoy non-mainstream films too?

  • @unnaturaltragedy 'Brazil' is exactly what it reminded me of at first to0! Even to the point that they use those olde sk0ole pneumatic tubes like in 'The Shadow' (in 'The Shadow', they were authentic to the era).

  • this movie remids me of eraserhead with a less surreal feel.

  • @Jamespullharder1 'Eraserhead' is exactly what it reminded me of to0, even before it reminded me of 'Brazil'! 'Visioneers', 'Brazil', and 'Eraserhead' all share a common underlying theme and that is -- social order is slavery.

  • this movie made me want to take a shit and light my nose hairs on fire!!

  • this is my favorite movie

  • ah,yes... self realisation can be a b*tch...

  • I recently watched this movie and it is now my favorite. SOO brilliant!

  • what the fuck did i just watch?

  • is this a real movie?

  • @TheProffesor10

Yes, and a good one, at that. Not like most films. Wierd, in it's own, harmless way. Not for everyone, though.

  • this movie has more meaning than any other shitbomb that comes out of the asshole of hollywood. if you have any sort of awareness in your life, you will like this movie.

  • @grandpaegg

two people who have defended this movie, you and pennstateyo who act like intellects have both used the word shit with suffixes that you made up on the spot "shitpiss", "shitbomb"

this movie is TRYING to be quirky, so hard in fact that it is a failure of epic (and expensive) proportions, the money would have had much better use going to poor, homeless kids or something

  • @ajnode I haven't acted like anything. I was just expressing my love for this movie. You could have simply ignored me. Don't be a jerk.

  • I adore this film

  • "super weird and makes no sense" ??? Our lives are super weird and make no sense. I thought this was a beautiful and creative movie.

  • @minkinae123 made perfect sense to me, too :-)

  • @smirvirv No, you just don't understand it. It takes a bit of thinking to enjoy it.

  • @smirvirv the movie was beyond amazing, just because your to simple minded or just to plain stupid to understand the film does not make it a bad movie.

  • That looks pretty good. Plus, Zach Galifianakis is the man.

  • WTF MOVIE

  • i concur

  • What a strange looking movie.... it kinda left me out in the cold without laughter or fear..... not in a good way either....

  • most mainstream, pop culture, product of the system people will not like this. It gets bad ratings because everyone has the same kind of shitpiss brain. you cant appreciate because youve never gone to this level. sooooo.-Jeffers morning to you. -actually no just a fuck you middle finger

  • @pennstateyo you're special

  • @pennstateyo soooo... you're a hipster asshole right?

  • @pennstateyo Couldn't agree more!

  • @pennstateyo dont be such a self righteous prick... jeffers morning to you.

  • @pennstateyo I think you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and your excuse is to insult everyone else about it.

  • @pennstateyo All you are is a pretentious hipster guided by the mainstream by reacting to it. Different strokes for different folks, no need to insult everyone who has different views than you because they didn't like the movie. it's not like you were the one who made it, so don't take personal offense to criticisms of a movie you liked.

  • @pennstateyo when i found this on netflix, it actually had a nice rating of 4 stars :) i rated it 5 stars ^^

  • Great movie!

  • Zach has been one of my favorite comedians ever since I caught him on Comedy Central Presents like 8 or so years ago. I haven't seen him in too much movies, besides Out Cold from back then which was also hilarious, and The Hangover, but I'm so glad to see he's doing acting as well as Stand-Up. Anyone who hasn't heard of him I always tell them to go rent the Live at the Purple Onion DVD, he's so funny.

  • i completely agree all the flaws u pointed out were true i dont know why u got 5 thumbs down..

  • @indiemaker05

I agree with you on your complaints about the trailer. I was thinking the same, just didn't know how to word it.

  • This could possibly be my alltime favorite movie, EVA. And the funny part is, I happened on it by complete coincidence. its brilliant!!

  • Comment removed

  • i'm... uhhh... i'm... i'm george washington. am i going to explode?

  • Where in the world can I get the song in the trailer? I've been looking for months and months. Someone's gotta know! Help!

  • Tim DeLaughter of the Polyphonic Spree did the music.

  • this guy is soo funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • When I first saw this I thought it wasn't a real movie, just some kind of parody trailer or something.

  • I want the score to this movie so bad. This movie is a stroke of brilliance!

  • Comment removed

  • John Keister at 1:35! Pat Cashman at 3:00?

  • heya doug...go fuck yourself in the ass with a piece or rebar.

  • wow.. a "your mom" response. typical. It's not my fault that you're simply too dull to grasp the sagacious qualities of this film.

  • Yea because it's "me" thats to dull right? Maybe i just don't like the genre, ever think of that? Maybe i'm a horror/thriller fan in which cause your tastes in film would be "dull" to me. Great response.

  • Allow me to help you; "Raping", "too", "case", "taste(singular)".

Case in point, you sir = dull, unintelligent, closed minded.

  • Gee, th3th0mas....is it just me or did you just judge someone by THEIR "cover" (ie: NAME)??? *LOL* Dipsh*t :)

  • its like ive just finished the movie

  • i wantched the whole movie ! but i

cant understand the movie !! hahahahaa

i like the way they greet each other

..I.. Hi Goerge ..I.. WTF I'm laughing when they do the Greetings sign ..I.. hahahahaha

  • I created this account because most of you are making me rage. The trailer is identifiably satirical and so is the film. The black humor is decieving. The moments of pleasure and terror are immersive. The music is by Tim Delaughter of The Polyphonic Spree. Superb. Jared Drake, alongside directing the film, also edited it with Philip Harrelson, another impressive name. Before you even see the trailer, it already has a degree of eminence to stand to. The end still gives me chills. Robinson Jeffers!

  • when did it come out?

  • About a year ago. It showed at various film festivals and then just recently came to DVD. It's too good to pass up. Although it doesn't break any new ground, in its subtlety and frankness you can find a wonderful, positive story. I think that this trailer embodies that vision -- of happiness being elusive, but the only force that can muster a battle against living in complacent passivity. Once you understand the style of humor in the film the trailer becomes even better than it already is.
