The eclipse/talons was the entry level car to the evo. It was definitely made for performance. It was so far ahead of its time, thats why its still so popular today. A far cry from the pathetic 115hp fwd non turbo hondas buzzing around.

Any of the stock Civic engines (D16, D15 etc) were all inline 4, as well as any of the regular swaps you would do (B series, K series etc).
