ez, your "assembly" is NOT The Church. Jesus began only ONE Church. Jesus did NOT begin His Church in the 1500s. He began it in c. 33AD. The pope is a Bishop & the office of bishop is in 1Tim3 & Tit1:7. The pope is the successor to Peter. All dogmas unerringly come thru the Church. The Bible was given to the world by the Church.

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to see THE SUCCESSOR TO PETER in person. I'm glad he was here in the USA. I saw JPII in Rome back in Jan '01. It was in St. Peter's Square. It had been cloudy for 2 days straight. JPII came out in front of 250,000 people. A few minutes later, a very small portion of the clouds broke and beautiful rays of sun came down right to where he was sitting! The crowd cheered and cheered! That was a great memory

Oh my, I couldn't stop laughing when I recognized that song. First time I listen to it in English. It feels so nice to see neo-catechumenals all over the world... I can tell anyone who's going to Sydney that s/he's going to end up dancing with them,as in Cologne, and nobody cares how people sing, they're all singing the same song in their own lenguage, it's so fun.
