Why is the cross considered such a holy symbol just because Jesus died on it, when the long history of the cross repesented a old traditional method of execution for hundreds of thounsands of criminals? The verse you referenced "depart from me" in the KJV says "ye workers of iniquity"... a quick glance at the Greek will reveal "lawlessness - specifically the Mosaic Law" -- another key that is often lost in the translation of this verse is that those he is saying depart from me too didn't keep the Law of Moses (Rev 14:12, Rev 12:17, Acts 21, Mat 5:17-20)
Why would you take as the Mosaic law when it could just as equally refer to the Moral law? It does not specify which law, however, according to what Jesus has previously said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments" we know He is not referring to the Mosaic law concerning this. He is referring to the Moral law (laws involving our relationship with God and man).

The church is warned of many sins in the New Testament, but breaking (or observing) the Sabbath is never mentioned. Speaking in tongues, being healed in the spirit, and being slain in the spirit are all holy things. Don't say anything about it if you've never experienced it!! My mother has been healed from breast cancer for "unknown reasons" but after going to an apostolic church and prayed after her, the pain in her breasts simply vanished, and the cancer cells died off. God has shown me that sin is just bad for my blood. It has always hurt me. So, I don't strive to resist my nature or Satan's tempting because I have to; I WANT TO. That is what Grace has allowed me to experience. Now, I can practice living according to the way God designed humans and all creation to live. but the whole point of Jesus coming was because we couldn't keep the law. in 1st john 1:9 all God requires of us when we do mess up is to admit it. We don't even have to feel sorry for it. The verse you referenced "depart from me" in the KJV says "ye workers of iniquity"... a quick glance at the Greek will reveal "lawlessness - specifically the Mosaic Law" -- another key that is often lost in the translation of this verse is that those he is saying depart from me too didn't keep the Law of Moses (Rev 14:12, Rev 12:17, Acts 21, Mat 5:17-20)

Why would you take as the Mosaic law when it could just as equally refer to the Moral law? It does not specify which law, however, according to what Jesus has previously said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments" we know He is not referring to the Mosaic law concerning this. He is referring to the Moral law (laws involving our relationship with God and man).

If you are speaking of the above two laws, than you most know that they fulfill the TEN COMMANDMENTS. How?

i didnt think it was possible for humans to follow all of the commandments of God which is why Jesus had to come, to cleanse us of that. And why He gave us 2 new commandments, to love Him and to love eachother.

Jesus said on loving God and your neighbor are two principle hanging on the law (Gods Law) and the Prophets (all the witnessess of God). So the 1st four of the commandments pertain to how we love God. The last 6 pertain to how we love ppl. If I love you i won't rob,steal, murder, adulter, covet any thing thats yours. Does that make sense?

I didnt think our following of the law is what gave us the Holy Spirit, I thought it was the Holy Spirit that keeps the law in our hearts. Am I wrong?

great vid but in matthew 7:22-23 it says

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
it does not say the word evil doers in this verse or the word away from me.

My friend if Christ were to be on this earth again just for arguments sake, then he would keep his word, after all he is the author and would contradict himself and be a hypocrite if he did not!!

The church is warned of many sins in the New Testament, but breaking (or observing) the Sabbath is never mentioned. The book of Acts mentions the Sabbath nine times, never once as a day of worship for Christians. If anything, the Apostle Paul rebuked the Galatians for attempting to add the observance of days to the sufficiency of Christs work for salvation (Gal. 4:9-11).

The 10 Commandments were given as a measure of Gods character, they were written by his finger into stone, another symbol for eternity and placed under his earthly throne, a copy of the one in heaven and a symbol for judgment!!
The 4th Commandment starts with the word "Remember", it also contains the seal of God. The Hebrews being given the title Israel because of Jacob were classed as Gods people and were expected to keep Gods Holy day the 7th day!! (Cont)

Now being as Israel were being prepared to be a light to the gentiles, it is only fitting that God would be asking them to set an example to the rest of the world. The Jews were known worldwide, many of the gentiles knew of the Messiah to come and that their customs all pointed to Jesus and until he would come they had to live by the law of Moses and the sacrificial system, which was a shadow of things to come, these laws were written on paper and were temporary.

truthsabre7 how is the verse from Matthew 24:13 supposedly proving that born again Christians, fail even though they are saved, because they do not adhere to the Mosaic laws? There is nothing in that verse that states anything about those who do not follow the Mosaic laws shall not be saved... In fact the verse pertains directly to those that are born again who shall endure, who then will be saved. You are adding your own interpretation to this scripture. And even worse than that your WRONG!

truthsabre7 a.k.a. Robert You are reading into this verse incorrectly. You are seeing the statement as we are supposed to uphold the Mosaic laws. When in reality the statement is telling us that because we accepted Christ and His New Covenant that we are not "nullifying the law with this faith, rather we (are) upholding said Mosaic laws. Please respond to this as I am very willing to hear your remarks on this issue.
