@jamesmars16 It's in DAdd -- standard Mixolydian. The song is really easy to learn. This version belongs to Stephen Seifert and Bing Futch. Bing teaches how to play it in this YouTube video: watch?v=yZ2B0PCdKoE
Richard, it's lovely play of a lovely tune. I've got one Hensley and one on the way bought used from a friend. I especially enjoy playing slow tunes on my Hensley.
@waterswivel Thanks for the kind assessment. The Hensley is a no-brainer choice for any intermediate player ready for more challenging and rewarding intimacy with a finely crafted, wholly authentic mountain dulcimer. The moveable bridge and wooden pegs compel a deeper understanding of the instrument --- and it is well worth the effort. Of course I don't really do the dulcimer any justice in this clip. If you like this rendition of the tune, be sure to catch Bing Futch's version on YouTube
Great playing!
