THE best Smiths song. Not by far... oh no. The Smiths are just in everything they do.... but "I much rather not gouho" to any other song sometimes. fakkin amazing!
I think, if you are an artist, it's a great thrill to see the crowd goes wild at a concert, or the announcement that you've sold your millionth album. But to see people actually do your music on their guitar, bass or vocals must be the most impressive thing in an artists career. It just reveals the fact that people don't just listen or like your music; it's one of their daily thoughts and passions and activities.
Well, it's not easy writing tab so I'll let it go.
There are tabs at different sites, I just think that yours is closest to the truth.
The closest to the truth that I've heard.
Some magazine may say that they have tabs, but they usually fall short. That's why I like this 'version' and why I want tabs: I'm just not good enough to figure out the fingerings on my own. I get close, but close isn't good enough.
Just Great!! Thanks for letting me see exactly how it's done. I won't have to spend anymore time trying to figure it out now that i absolutely KNOW i'll never be able to do it. Really though just great!!
hey you!! that was dead on balls accurate! and i will forgive the little mistake i heard, and i noticed you played that while sat legs crossed IN the lotus position there boy, lol but seriously thats was 100% quality! go you!
Eduardo, You are good ! The best version on Youtube. You must have Marfan's Syndrome like me, we make the best musicians. I grew up playing music, and like you, I have a great ear.I am self taught. You should check out
having seen you do Headmaster, i found this. you just get better and better. i saw one of the comments above saying the person wa gonna learn it from you rvideo. me too!
Sounds wonderful! I've been struggling to learn this song; I can play the beginning part, but the middle confuses me... any chance you could tab this out?
awesome cover. one of the best things about youtube is learing smiths songs! they'll never make a learning smiths dvd so we'll have to do it ourselves. Thanks again.
The harmonies are not difficult to explain. In fact, we need a tab to indicate how to do the guitar accompaniment in counterpoint with the melody of the song. I'll try.
Thanks for sharing that, it was beautiful. I've always preferred the acoustic version of this song.
I'm teaching myself to play the acoustic guitar and it's my aim, one day, to be able to play my favourite songs as beautifully as you. I have a long way to go.
Well, I have to confess that I didi some sound processing with soundforge - compression, maxbass to increase the lower ends and so on. The guitar is an old brazilian Di Giorgio (1977), it is a twelve-string guitar, but I only use it with six - the poor guitar doesn't handle it anymore... but I love the way it sounds. Strings... Dean Markley, I guess. But I actually preffer Martin strings.
Although the pickup that you can see, the recording was made only with my sony digital camera built in microphone. Btw, the pickup is an EMG - and it sounds great. As soon as I get a good sound card that allows me good recordings im my pc, I'll try to use it more effectively.
Amazing, I thought you played amplified. What guitar/strings are you playing? The lower registers sound almost like a classical guitar to me, very fitting for this song.
not only should four people be made to go back to the old house, but they should be locked in t' coal bunker...
