Just a bit of advice David....cock the gun right before you shoot your next round. If you cock it right after your last shoot and then run around you are libel to pull a Cheney.
First shotgun I had a chance to hold was when I was 13 and that 10 gauge landed me on my ass. We were shooting lodge pole pines and taking down trees thicker than my leg and almost as thick as my chest.
