  • Quite nice for a cheap alternative to TrackIR

The next best thing for flight simulators is voice control.

It can be tough to adjust speed, altitude and heading in virtual cockpit.

That's why i use something called "Multi Crew Experience". I can just bark voice commands, and the virtual co-pilot executes for me. I can even talk to native ATC or Radar Contact ATC.

Incidentally, there is a downloadable free demo. You'll have to find it on your own though :-))

  • thats hella fake hes holdin down tha spacebar and moving tha mouse

  • do u need a webcam? What tracks that LED light? thanks

  • I have a gaming PC I built now and Track IR, the difference between the two programs is like night and day.

  • it's not fake it's a freeware program called FreeTrack there is a payware version called TrackIR. a single lamp give 2degree of freedom

  • I recommend using a single point of light for two degrees of freedom.

  • Its real.

  • LAG LAG LAG!

  • Yes there is lag, but I'm using an old single core PC with only a NVIDEA 6200 card, FSX lags on PC's a lot more powerful and much faster than this one.

  • Thank you.

  • Nice, There seemed to be a slight lag in graphic response to your movement, do you think adjusting the Pre-rendered frame setting in your Graphic card will help?

  • It may, I'll have to give it a try.

I have Free Track set at 50% sensitivity, speeding it up may help also.

I have a bad neck and like to move real slow and smooth.

  • Nice.

  • This just demonstrates 2 DOF, as you can see it hightens the realism when flying in the VC, immersing you into the simulator. I am going to make another video showing the modifications I made to the webcam, and a link to the FreeTrack website.

If you'd be interested in it just comment here. Thanks, Aaron

  • Thank you!

  • i'll love you forever if you make tutorials..

  • My camera is on loan, as soon as I get it back I'll get to work on it.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
