  • Regardless of whether the suspect was being a belligerent and annoying, the man was on the ground and subdued. Did the suspect deserve to be arrested? Probably. But there is no reason he should be repeatedly punched in the face. This is clearly abuse of power and brutality.

  • looks to me that officer diaz caught his wife cheating on him prior to this event......i heard that this morning in court records! steve2211 looks like you took a beating from one of these guys and u actually liked it!!!!!

  • You call that a beating? Seriously? Give up your hands next time. And maybe don't have the cops called on you for being out of control at Last Day. Spoiled behavior, that's how the guy filming and his friends are behaving.

  • what ever came of this ?

  • They're trying to gag the video. Google "Sonoma County prosecutors ask judge to remove video"

  • If you weren't there and only comment from the video the your an idiot. This guy had been kicked out of the bar for trying to get into the paid part of the club, being told he had to pay he got Beligerant and tried to get past the club security by pushing his way in. The bouncer escorted/kicked him out for being a knucklehead. This guy came back again later and tried to get in and was refused entry. He then became irate and cause a commotion in front of the bar so the police were called. Upon a

  • @Jacechance1 I have seen entire 9min video and read detailed account of this particular incident. Unrelated, but I agree with this statement: “I believe law enforcement officers are not just subject to the same laws as anyone else, we are, as we should be, held to an even higher standard” - Sheriff Richard K. Jones - Dec 2nd 2011. daytondailynews com / news/crime/sheriffs-deputy-receives-jail-time-following-drunken-driving-arrest-1293295 . html

  • @Jacechance1 Doesn't matter bootlicker.

  • What the video didn't show was, that man had just assaulted an employee of one of our local eateries/pubs and was refusing to leave the establishment. Thats why the officers were called in the first place. The Press Democrat seems to be working against the police in our community lately and I'm getting fed up. Our officers work hard and this man got exactly what he asked for. Stop being lemmings and judging situations from 30 second videos. It doesnt even come close to the true story.

  • @Hisnomad I never understand why people defend police brutality. Regardless of what happened earlier, this man is face down on the ground, being held down by 2 officers, and then beaten. Who in their right mind thinks police should behave this way towards anyone?

  • @Hisnomad Assaulted or not he doesn't deserve that beating. If he's guilty then he'll do his time and serve his punishment in jail or prison. What if someone made up lies and told the cops you were refusing to leave, you think it would be ok then for them to do the same to you? You're probably a pig who has nothing else better to do and go spread misinformation just to try to reverse people's opinions about cops.

  • @Hisnomad Leave the punishment to the judge bootlicker.
