@anime1mike I don;t really consider the voice since the voice was only in the recent game, Journy of Dreams, AND was a failed attempt to at what was supposed to sound like either a girl or young boy anyway. =P

As far as I'm concerned, officially, NiGHTS voice sounds like both a boy and a girl's voice. (It actually just sounds like a woman but it's supposed to sound like either)

As for purple... really? o.o It always just made me think of NiGHTS as mystical and magical. XD

@anime1mike You COULD say it, but you can also say he if that's how you view him. What I don't get is why that person said "I do prefer to think of him as a her". If you view the genderless character as a "her" then why did you say "him"? o.O lol

I view NiGHTS as a dude cuz it looked like a dude when I first saw him til someone pointed out the eyelashes. But I just saw it as style. In this game he seems more like a chick tho cuz the voice added. lol But the characters still say "he". o0

Hmm, I can see the whole "polish" thing I understand that. But I think the diversity is a good thing. Besides, the flying is still the most of the game. There's more of the other types now but only just like there's more of the main gameplay as the game is larger.

Basically according to this review I guess I'd see this game as almost perfect sans the minor non-perfect controls. As in the controls aren't terrible just not as good as before while the rest of the game itself is perfect. XD idk

I don't know. I kind of like Nights voice. I know shes genderless, but I still see her as a girlXD Don't judge me! I mean she got annoyed with Will, put her hands on her hips and emphasized, Duelize while shaking her headXD I can't see a guy doing that. Plus the only guy who can pull off purple is Prince.

My biggest gripe is the controls and the lack of freeroaming. The controls made flying like he said rough and I barely felt any freedom at all. Even after doing a level theres no option to play levels without a time limit or explore the beutiful areas as the childrenXD I couldn't help but feel that more could have been done with the story. I actually loved the voice acting (more specifically Realas, Owl, and Wizeman). I like the premise too.

This has to be the worst possible way to create a sequel to such an epic game. The game is complete FAIL! Nights Into Dreams, the ORIGINAL for sega saturn was brilliant in it's making, and if there were to be any change, it would more likely have been a MAJOR graphics update and control interface with the two human children. Other than that, this game I would have to say was majorly unwanted for a sequel considering the trash it is. I demand a redo.

I was a HUGE fan of the old Nights for Sega Saturn. I pretty much grew up with that game, and it really shaped my imagination in some ways. I was very intrigued when I heard there was a sequel, but I searched and this is what I found... This is pretty much exactly what the Sega Saturn version was doing but with prettier graphics. And they ruined one thing- NIGHTS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAD A VOICE! Fail.

The part in Helen's nightmare where her mom's head appears in the glass window and then turns to a demon, that scared me so much I fell of my chair when I first played the game, I still love the game but MAN! THAT WAS SCARY!

I have to agree with all you said. one of my grudges against this is only story-related, and is the simple fact that they gave Nights a voice. nights was suppose to be the kids' persona with whose help they could beat their fears. so it had to be genderless. if they give it a woman's voice...it ruins the whole idea

@BRiTDRAG2 Actually having a woman's voice is more confusing as the charatcters refer to NiGHTS as a male, and that mixed with NiGHTS having a male's voice would have people picture NiGHTS more as a male (since his only feminine feature besides the voice is really just the eyelashes which could be seen merely as part of the style)

However, I think they should've gotten a women to do a tomboyish voice so it could sound like a boy or a girl since NiGHTS is genderless. =P

this is actually a pretty fair review, the game does have some flaws to it, but that's mainly because it had to be rushed.

Why did it have to be rushed? That's not an adequate excuse for the low quality of this game. Look at Nintendo: they NEVER rush their games, and even though people might get irritated that they have to wait a little longer for games (Smash Bros Brawl, for example), the wait is always worth it because they want their games to be as good as possible. Quality should trump everything else.

Well, according to a friend of mine they rushed the game because no body was buying Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games, so Sega decided "Fuck it" and rushed through the rest of Nights to boost sales.

actually, the control issues arent the games fault, but the design of the analogs on Nintendo systems. the easy to use 8 way direction sticks are not as conducive to the smooth circular motions required to excel at niGHTS. Modify your controller for a drastic change.

I likethe fact that NiGHTS was brought back since the last time I played it back when the Saturn was around. I disagree with this. Bozon done a written review of this before the video review and he had a lot of rants from fans who have played Nights:JOD. Why on earth would he post a video review since then? I do respect him and his opinion, but I do not think Bozon find this his type of game. I never played Nights on the Wii yet, but I talked to people who have and said that it plays the same as the original and most of them said it was fantastic and most great, But not anything else apart from that.
