Talent yes...enormous talent? I don't think so. Enormous talents are rock band " Beyond " the most successful Cantonese HK rock band. Their fan base reached Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Singapore and was prominent during their days. Their songs and lyrics are still remembered and influential to this day and are even sang by HK activists. GEM is of course an talented singer but not influential.

G.E.M. is a very talented singer, and has such a strong voice at a young age, which is an amazing feat. Obviously there is a chance that she improves as she is still very young; that would make her even more amazing.

There were plenty of H.K singers in 80's and 90's who were as talented as her in those times. She has an nice voice, but her music/songs incorporates too much western influence and style. HK has too many people that sound the same; if everyone tries to be anita and leslie, there will be no variety. this is why i think it's good to have someone to have a bit of a western style.

yes, one button IS lady gaga wannabe, but G.E.M. going western is good for HK music.
