  • this aint over for sure. i'm for reform, but obviously things are going to hit the fan when people will be forced to pay if prices are still unreasonably high. maybe competition will bring prices down. if so, it might work..

  • This country was the only Western country without its health care for everyone...what a shame that was.

  • only western country without socialized health care and the western country with the best health care.

  • Aaah you have missed the train - it is not a debate who has a better health care system but it is a matter of whether everyone is insured. get it?

  • The govt does NOT need to be in control of something else.. they cannot handle what they have. everything they touch crumbles look at the FDA and USDA.

Healthcare is bad enough without being seeded with govt corruption. Doctors today just toss pills and advice you could have found on google at your problems and push you along. They don't have to earn your trust or money anymore because they are just going to send a bill to your insurance co.

THEY DON"T HAVE TO EARN THEIR MONEY ANYMORE as it is!

  • We do not need the government in charge of ANYTHING else.. they can't handle what they have. every time they take control of something it goes to shit! Look at the FDA and USDA.

Healthcare is already bad enough with health insurance. Doctors don't have to earn your money or TRUST anymore, they just throw medication and advice you could have found on google at whatever your problem is, then send a bill to your insurance company..

healthcare will become tainted with government corruption.

  • I wish I could vote...

  • My daughter is suffering from 101 degree fever and you are telling me youre on a break!!!

Welcome to assembly line medical services. Now serving patient #4848995758

  • Well seeing as a majority of Americans are of average or below intelligence, the government really shouldn't be doing what the majority wants, because they aren't smart enough to know whats best for them. Its like I always say. Dictatorship is the best form of government as long as you have a highly intelligent dictator. Freedom isn't everything.

  • @ kylethedarkn

you don't have a dictator, you have many of them, and they aren't of above average intelligence, they are of above average wealth.

Hitler was a dictator of above average intelligence.

  • @waterkeeper03 Yes I was just countering the point some people make, which is that everyone deserves a say.

And yes Hitler was pretty smart, but he was also schizophrenic wasn't he? He had the right idea, just with the wrong people.

  • The question FOX ought to be asking is: do the American people trust Corporate policies to guide the way in Health Care Insurance? They won't pose THAT question now, will they?

  • Process is important. Remember the how the Patriot ACT got passed? Republicans are a bunch of sore losers with selective memories shorter than their winkies. They strut around thinking they can have their way just like in their businesses and throw tantrums when things don't go their way. Cry babies. You aren't in control any more!!

  • I DON'T trust FOX news.

    Propaganda at it's finest.

  • NO! I don't trust the gov't. If this passes I'm going to go live on the moon!

  • @SuperSneakySteve BE OUR GUEST ya stupe.

  • Do i trust the government with healthcare? Sure, absolutely. It's worked out well in other countries that have implemented it, why wouldn't it work here?

I look at it in the same light as if I was being provided healthcare by an employer. One of the benefits I should get by being a citizen of this country should be an effective system that keeps me from dying on the job. Of course, that's logical, so it must be commie talk.

  • It's logical from your point of view.

from my point of view, i do not want a government completely controlled by corporate special interests and banks to be in charge of anything vital to my survival. the quality of the insurance we possess will undoubtedly be crucial to our survival at one point in our long, american lives.

But you can probably tell i'm not just on the other side of the fence to you; my political ideology is probably down the street somewhere.

    P.S. Paul/Ventura 2012

  • I don't trust the government handling ANYTHING. Look at how much money the USPS is losing every year and that's just one goverment run operation. Don't RE Elect anyone, people. Wake up!

  • @clayp72 and the Army, Navy, Marines...so on. Who would you like to see run those?

  • @chuckkoyama That's defense. I meant business wise. As far as the military goes I'd close foreign bases and move our bases along both borders. Then I'd tell our allies "call us if you need us but we're going home".

  • No , and I don't trust "FAG NEWS" to give me my news.

  • @TheLegitReaper really, you don't need to sound stupid to get your point across.

  • Like I fucking trust Faux News asswipes

  • Oh yeah, like I fucking trust Faux News asswipes.

  • So yes I trust the government with health care. In fact, it is their responsibility to protect citizens and consumers from corporations willing to capitalize on the sick.

  • Ultimately when it comes to health care, I am responsible for myself. I eat healthy, exercise, and get routine checkups. However, sometimes people get very sick and need assistance.

I am an American living abroad. Health insurance companies in the country where I live are non-profits. Everyone is required by the govt to have health care, and it is very affordable (approximately 50 Euros per month, or 75 US dollars).

Despite of the low cost, the quality of care here is much higher.

  • funny - When Bush was president, Liberals said what a disgrace government VA hospitals are. Now they want the gov. to run the entire health system. Isn't this the same gov. the nuts said blew up the trade center in a concspiracy. Now they trust the gov. to run their healthcare? This government is incapable of running ANYTHING !

Hi I'm here for my lifesaving kidney transplant. sorry sir - We never received your paper work from the cost oversite commitee, you will have to wait 6 months.

  • Down with Republicans and Democrats.

    BRING THE SYSTEM DOWN

    DEATH TO DEMOCRACY

  • @kironfiremenmei Your government was never a democracy in the first place. Technically, we were, from the inception of the Constitution, a democratic republic. It's a very malleable hybrid, which has different implications when it moves in either direction. In this case, we're definitely more of a republic. Big government by representatives equals less say from you and me. Try to bring it down and it'll be the Whiskey Rebellion all over again.

  • Whiskey rebellion is exactly what this country needs. It wasnt until the civil war that people used "the United States IS instead of The united States are" We need massive problems to make massive movements forward

  • @kironfiremenmei I agree. But given the unilateral expansion of power by our federal government, a 21st century Whiskey Rebellion would be even more of a tragic failure than the initial rebellion. It's a sham ethat the consent of the governed has been done away with as a concept.

  • I like David's editorial, very serious and mature than something he would (or could) say the Saturday morning show,

  • i trust that government will destroy everything in its path.

  • No, the government can not be trusted.
