It's only natural that the servers become less populated, since Reach came out, the majority of the Halo 3 community moved on to the newest (And IMO, best) game in the series.
September 25th marks the 4 year anniversary of Halo 3. We will celebrate this day by keeping the Halo 3 community alive and playing it at 2pm Eastern Time. We will hopefully make the servers as populated as they were before, and prevent Bungie from taking down the Halo 3 online servers to make us play Halo Reach, while also bringing the original Halo experience back to life. ODST's are similar to spartans, except their bodys weren't messed with, and ODSTs got strong throught training, not training and geneticall engeniring, like spartans.
You know, i was really disappointed with Halo Reach. The music was no where near as epic, and they got rid of the best guns! Whats Halo without SMG's, Battle Rifles, and dual wielding??? Carbines definitely shouldn't have been removed either. The default armor also should have been MK 5 seeing as how that was the standard armor during that time period. MK 6 should be one of the low rank armors and gold should have been default visor color to give the game a more classic feel.
@XBigJManX I still think Halo Reach as a good game, but your right, it was not as god as the other Halos... I even liked ODST over Reach! I personally think multiplayer is pretty good though, except armor lock.
@XBigJManX Battle rifle was replaced by the DMR and the Carbine rifle was replaced by the needle rifle and I think they are better weapons than the original ones and who cares if they started the player with a different visor.
@XBigJManX Yeah, they took out SMGs because Halo 1 didn't have it, and the game takes place before CE. I hated the MK V(B). It was a fat ass helmet. By the way, Mark V (B) is the default armor. I like Halo Reach, buts oits not as good as halo CE
The ending made me feel sad because Halo 3 is just not popular anymore.I used to get into a game of 16 easily now its....gone.I agree COD is good but Halo is a community.The whole series is immense and people will play it for years to come but the feeling of playing on Halo 3 now is sad.The happy memories of custom games are drifting away and people have moved on, sadly.I love Halo but its boring when no-one wants to come on with you and everyone is on COD.COD is a good game but,Halo is Epic.

Halo Reach isn't dead. Don't know what you're talking about. Halo Reach sold more than any other Halo game. Don't tell me Halo 3 was better than Reach. Reach is better in every way, save for maybe the music and the fact that MC isn't there.
Of course, being a HUGE Halo fan, NO Halo game will ever be good enough for me. From a writer's perspective, I could easily envision how Reach, along with other Halo games, could have been better.
Reach is the perfect addition to the Halo trilogy and the music matched all other halos in depth and power. COD can never reach the vastness, tragedy, mystery, heroism and sacrifice in Halo. And of course, the power in the music itself.
@Deadwind002 Reach's gameplay is amazing but the music that helps define a Halo game was lacking. Halo Combat Evolved (1) is still and forever will be the greatest FPS of all time though.
Halo 3 was so much better than Reach. i wish they'd never made Reach in the first place. Everyone stopped playing Halo 3... and now Halo is just... dead. They've all even stopped playing Reach.
@Palafico3 I wholeheartedly agree. I've been a Halo fan since the first game, and it saddens me to see the general populace of xbox live moving on. In Halo 3, you could build a forge map and custom game, and within 5 minutes find tons of friends to play it with. Now, everyone I know has traded it in for Black Ops or just forgotten about it.
