  • heavy camel cavalry, what they think up next?heavy flying elephants

  • @susumu07

It's not even confirmed the Romans wore red - it's something Hollywood gave them

RTW mods do such a good job at giving every unit "neutral" colours :P

  • @Bull3pr00f

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Roman units probably never had one single color. Red was their vexilloid color though. Later Roman units didn't look anything like the early ones in terms of armor, uniforms, etc.

  • А что, разве парфяне розовый носили?)) Это тоже неточно Я думаю.

  • plz follow the real history

  • go fuscia

  • They're Parthian Persian

  • no such thing as Parthian Persian. There's Parthian Iranian and Persian Iranian

  • those are parthians

  • Romans... I pity them.. I pity them all!..

They where led by a bunch of corrupted fools wish led them into their own destruction..

    :P

  • what the hell, this is the intro for Parthia

  • Yeah, i know! and its with a wierd ssssspanish dude :D

  • Parthians (today's Afghans & Iranians), Persian (Today's Iranian, Afghan, and indian Parsis), Medds (Today's Iranian, Turkish, and Iraqi Kurds and lurs), Aryans, Iranians, Alens, Sarmations, Armenians, Scyrthians all are the same people. Their names is often used to refer any of the people in this family.

  • Armenians wouldnt say so.

  • So you're saying Armenians are not Aryan people? Armenian language is closely related to middle persian. + many famous Armenian generals served in the empire during the Acheminian era as well as the Sassanid era.

  • no your getting me wrong. I know they speak an indo-european language and have a connection historically and geographically with the Persians, but they wouldnt consider themselves to be Iranian. They wouldnt consider themselves to be related to Iranians in a genetic or cultural sense.....even though they sort of are.

  • It's all good bro. We're all human-beings in the end. It's just sad how people have separated due to religion, politics, and many other childish reasons.

  • so,it is childish how they "separated" due to religion, not religion is childish, hmm?

  • lol... religion I would say is a childish reason to fight over or even pressure another with. The way you word it is so confusing thou'

I do think religion is one of the factors affecting destruction of good and humanity, since it's a very powerful object and could be misused in the wrong hands. At the same time it is a mean of comfort and community relations for many in the society, but this can be easily replaced with something else.

  • good fantasi..pink solders wit camel and elephant

  • can somebody translate it, wat da hell waz it sayin?:D

  • Even parthians didn't wear pink. Their official color was blue/black.

And once again, their military uniforms were not all one color, they just used whatever was practical. (usually green, brown, red, dark blue, etc.)

  • It was still essentially the same empire, just under different rulers. Parthians were closely related to Persians. They invented the "Pahlavi" language which is also called "middle persian".

Sassanid kings (true persians) used the same language later on.

  • These aren't the Persians these are the Parthians.

  • Parthians are persians

  • this is the parthians

yes persions were iranian but the persian empire was destroyed by alexander the great

parthia became an empire after alexanders death

  • @Bioniclemaniac

the Persian empire of the Achamenids...but there were subsequent Persian empires, IE the Sassanids who fought and defeated Rome many times

  • @sundancekid9000

Uzbekistan, Afghanistan etc...ARE IRanian. Uzbeks came out of Mongolia in the 16th century, Iranian Tajiks lived there until then and still today, Samarqand and Bokhara are IRANIAN not turk!

  • Persian soldiers did not wear pink. And they did not have Arab head coverings. The only accurate thing here is the helmets and armor (when they have them.)

Historical sources say the Persian war clothes were dark shades of green, red, blue for different divisions. Pink was never used because it would stand out too much on the battlefield.

Immortals wore yellow/gold thread tunic, this was mostly for show however, not for battle.

If the game is pink, then the game itself is inaccurate.

  • + in the game they really weak and bearly have units while in reality they were one of the strongest empires

  • @recoveryprankcalls

yeah, basically due to influence of biased Greek accounts the Persian troops have been portrayed as "weak" for centuries, but then that doesn't explain how they were able to conquer such a huge empire and defeat Babylon and a dozen other big kingdoms in just 20 years.

Most Greek portrayals (and modern western ones) show Persian warriors with NO ARMOR, just wearing silk robes that look like pajamas! This is bull crap, Persians had scale mail armor, the first nation to do so.

  • @susumu07 i think they made them pink not to be accurate but to differate between the factions, because if it was all accurate, people would get confused with the colours being alike and all.

  • @BreathInSpaceFilmz

you're probably right.... but I mean there's plenty of colors besides pink.... Green, blue, yellow, black are all valid choices... it's almost like the people designing the game made the Persian sprites last, hence the "only" color left was pink. Almost like they semi-considered not even putting the Persians into the game, which is sad. Romans wore red usually, you could have Greeks as light green, Persians dark green, Babylonians brown, Macedonians yellow, etc....

  • @susumu07 There is a mod that makes the game very accurate. Its a mod the dresses all units in what they would have worn at the time.

  • @VeryInteresting2day

Cool I like to see that mod. I study Persian historical clothing so I'm familiar with Parthian and Sassanid soldier armor and uniforms. I suspect the pink clothes in this video are just "team colors" to distinguish each race/empire from the others, rather than any attempt at realistic clothes colors. Kinda sad they ended up choosing pink for the Persians. Plus it was a frickin' expensive color of cloth to produce back then, it would not have been used for soldiers LOL!

  • @susumu07 these are the Parthia

  • @mUND33PS

They might be, it's hard to tell. Parthians were still Iranian though, and they never wore pink in battle. They never had a standard color uniform, in fact many of their soldiers furnished their own unique armor and clothes since a large number were nobility. The "European" idea of warrior nobility/paladins/knights actually was first invented by the Parthians.

There are still Parthian armor/weapons in museums, those things are truly badass. Full body mail and 6-foot swords.

  • @susumu07 that's not persia, parthia -.-

  • @TheEmperorNothing

Well if you want to split hairs on provinces that's a point. Still, it's ancient Iran all the same, Parthians and Persians were related groups.

  • Hey fix the uniforms they should NOT be pink.

  • yes they SHOULD

    see the game maybe?
