This was my aunt favorite song, and this is the story she told me about the singer.

Kaneda Tasue's career as a singer didn't start overnight as a main stream star but a low paid bar singer. When she recorded this song she didn't have a production to promote the song, so she sold the record(before the days of CD) literally one by one when she got chance to perform. It took many years before the word started spreading and the people buying at the store then becoming a commercial success.
