Did you happen to notice the RPM run quite a bit higher above 60 MPH on the same stretches of freeway too since the software update? The update seems like it took away overdrive. My 2009HCH used to run ~2100 @75 MPH on flat I-10 stretch from Tucson to Phoenix, now runs ~2800-3200 RPM (loud) on the same trip even with no one else in the car. Used to drive to and from Phoenix (~200 miles round trip) @ 55-65 MPG and between 1/2 & 3/4 tank of gas left. Now same trip 32-42 MPG and just over 1/4 tank.
I had to leave my car at the dealer for three days and rent a car. In the end, they were able to reproduce the problem and replaced my IMA battery under warranty. The video helped a lot. Make sure you post it and make sure they watch it so the techs know what they are looking for. Good luck!
My stupid hybrid does the same thing! The software update that was supposed to "fix it" only makes it worse. Now I park my car at night with a full battery and by the time I'm at the end of the driveway, it's dropped all the way to empty. The dealer looked me like I was crazy... I'm going in tomorrow for the third time to have it fixed but this time I have video of the car doing it 5 times! This may get ugly tomorrow at the dealer... Please keep me updated as to what happens with yours! Thanks
dont have the updates done. the battery is not faulty its the updates that are faulty. see if they can revert to the old version.
