  • dont have the updates done. the battery is not faulty its the updates that are faulty. see if they can revert to the old version.

  • Did you happen to notice the RPM run quite a bit higher above 60 MPH on the same stretches of freeway too since the software update? The update seems like it took away overdrive. My 2009HCH used to run ~2100 @75 MPH on flat I-10 stretch from Tucson to Phoenix, now runs ~2800-3200 RPM (loud) on the same trip even with no one else in the car. Used to drive to and from Phoenix (~200 miles round trip) @ 55-65 MPG and between 1/2 & 3/4 tank of gas left. Now same trip 32-42 MPG and just over 1/4 tank.

  • How old is the car?

  • I had to leave my car at the dealer for three days and rent a car. In the end, they were able to reproduce the problem and replaced my IMA battery under warranty. The video helped a lot. Make sure you post it and make sure they watch it so the techs know what they are looking for. Good luck!

  • My stupid hybrid does the same thing! The software update that was supposed to "fix it" only makes it worse. Now I park my car at night with a full battery and by the time I'm at the end of the driveway, it's dropped all the way to empty. The dealer looked me like I was crazy... I'm going in tomorrow for the third time to have it fixed but this time I have video of the car doing it 5 times! This may get ugly tomorrow at the dealer... Please keep me updated as to what happens with yours! Thanks
