Hawkings Emotional Quotient defeats his I.Q. when he begins spouting assertions not based by science. There is no proof for or against God's existence that science can offer. Sure their are some flaws in his theories in extreme circumstances, but in general they hold true. The calculations in general relativity say that time passes quicker for a satellite in orbit than it does for a station on the ground. When measurments are made using GPS the position calculation has to take this time dilation into account to give an accurate answer. It's real.

The science is clear and solid, which is why Hawking along with the overwhelming majority of scientists and science academies are part of the consensus on it.
It is worth noting however, that the science is also massively complex, so there is some trust required on the part of lay people. What you can do however is look at how well scientific method was used in creating AGW theories; that is what I base my judgement of it's clarity and soliditiy on.

lol what are you talking about? i am a physicist and einsteins theories have been proved correct by countless experiments. Sure their are some flaws in his theories in extreme circumstances, but in general they hold true. The calculations in general relativity say that time passes quicker for a satellite in orbit than it does for a station on the ground. When measurments are made using GPS the position calculation has to take this time dilation into account to give an accurate answer. It's real.
