  • Great cense of humor..

  • weed?

  • Distort that shit, son!!!

  • I just wanted to hear what the fucking guitar sounded like... seriously!

  • Is this guy baked or what

  • Great looking instrument !

  • Well, I took my old beat up yamaha se350 guitar, that's not really mine, but it happens to sit in my closet, and has some dead strings on it, so i decided to experiment with some of my bass strings, threw on a 45-105 set from a 4 string bass as the top 4 strings, tuned them (low to high) B, E, A, D as on a bass, and then took a 5th and 4th strings from a 9mm daddario 6 string set, a 32mm as a 2nd tuned F#, and a 24 mm as a 1st tuned B (7th stirng on guitar). now that's a slim 6 string bass ;)

  • That guy can barely talk or wear a hat properly, let alone play a guitar. I wonder who ties his shoes for him.

  • @CodyCEngdahl and you didn't even mention the sweet line beard

  • incredible sound!

  • so like.. they call him mr weiner? and when his mom was pissed of at him she was like DAVID WEINER!...

Ok more on topic; i LOVE this type of instrument inbetwen bass and guitar, im getting one but the one of schecter is 30" scale E-e really sweet

  • intro is way too long.

  • That does not look like a bass...

  • it's a "hybrid"

    more bassy than a baritone

it has a longer neck than a baritone and can be tuned an octave down from a guitar's standard E

  • There are plenty of 30" scale basses. They sound just fine. The one in the video happens to be tuned A to A and the EQ on the amp is set up more for baritone guitar. But set up with thicker strings from E to E and played through a bass amp, it sounds just fine on the low string.

  • Tuned E to E this would be like a bass for guitar players, but the short scale would make it not sound so good on the bass register. Tuned A to A makes it an instrument of its own and much more interesting IMHO. It has its own timbre way different from a bass or a guitar. If only it weren't so expensive and hard to find :(. The vintage sunburst finish is quite cool.

  • thanks for the demo...but quite suprised u cant tell the tuning of a guitar shifted five semitones ...and that silo with an e to e heavy set is ovelapping with musicmaster shortscales....so it can be a bass....or a guitar ...depends on the string gauge that you use.

  • Um thats a guitar, not a bass. Change the title.

  • um... EBMM labels it as a bass... its a baritone...

  • Set up E to E, it's a bass guitar. Set up A to A (or anything above bass E to E and below standard guitar E to E) it's a baritone guitar. It doesn't matter, either way it's a guitar. Just like any other bass you're thinking of (unless you're talking about a stand up bass, a bass saxophone, a bass horn, etc.). The instrument in the video happens to be tuned from A to A and is being amplified as a baritone guitar.

  • i want that smy2d in the back! lol

  • m-he m-he ...he said weiner.....

  • EVERYTHING sounds cool with Dave Weiner doing the theme music.

Here is to the first one with many more to come...

  • LMFAO

    HIS NAMES DAVE WEINER

    oh

    thats just fucking hilarious
