Conclusion of the former top secret document by Brazilian Air Force about this:
"As a conclusion of the observed constant facts in almost all presentations, it is the opinion of this Command that the phenomenon is solid and reflects intelligence by its capacity to follow and sustain distance from the observers, as well as to fly in formation, and are not necessarily manned craft."

This is a piece of gold. Where are the skeptics now ? I got tired of hearing people saying "why the military doesn't admit it, it this is true", well here is an example. But do people care ? No. It's the own minister of aeronautics saying this here, along with jet pilots, all on duty...
@DreDiego Well they tried. And there are many other stories of UFOs being pursued and people trying to shoot them down, but the jets can never keep up with their speed.
@TeinCave - This is why governments around the world don't care to disclosure about UFOS or Alien Life, because even when they do, people just don't pay any attention.

@CarlosMerck27 The relevance of Brazil in a frame of reference of any well established country is going to be pretty small, if you ask me. If an entity like the US military publicly released whatever findings they might have, I have no doubt it would make waves in the media. I'm a skeptic until I witness something with my own senses, though. If you aren't experiencing it with your own senses, then there's a very high chance it could be fake. (A majority of the time, it is.)
@TeinCave - Sorry TeinCave, the own minister of aeronautics of Brazil (1986) is saying this, along with several pilots and tons of radar confirmation.
Maybe you don't know this but Brazil was under military control at the time, so if they didn't wanted to say anything at all, they just would not.
Perhaps you don't know either, but early this year Brazil declassified documents about this incident, take a look here google "ufos are solid and under intelligent control" (try ufodigest)
@TeinCave - Sorry again TeinCave, but saying that Brazil, the 8th economy in the world does not have credibility, and that US would have is so cliché. You know, I think the US is way more trustable too, let's not forget how honest US is, fighting for freedom and telling the truth to it's own citiziens, like those (invisible) weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that led almost 5.000 young americans dead, more ~30.000 injuried, and spent (expected) 1 trillion dollars. That is a country I would trust
@CarlosMerck27 You should read what you're replying to, as my statement still stands. My assessment on Brazil's relevance is simply a matter of what folks are like in well established countries. It's not a reflection of my opinion since, like I said, I'm a skeptic until I see something with my own eyes in regard to material like this. I don't deny Brazil's relevance in the world, but MANY people do not and will not give the country a second look.
It reminds me of similar UFO chase back in beginning of 90ties in Belgium - this case is very similar to this one
