I used to drive my dad's 66 it was the dark maroon model and man, when you even LOOKED at the gas pedal it took off! Serious beauty of a car but only got nine mpg back in 1973 and the gas crisis hit us in 74 so we sold it....damn. Car was so cool, the first time I'd EVER used cruise control or driven a car without that lumpy drive train...AHHH, the days of GIANT CARS that looked like they were ALIVE.........

Great Toro....I had a 67, looks like the same color (sauterne) that I owned for almost 14 years.  Unfortunately had to sell after I lost my job....Loved it tho...it always turned heads...

what kind of exhaust do you have? have you changed the camshaft or left it stock? i have a 66' toronado with a stock 425 and i want it to sound like this.

Thanks for posting the video. - Are you a member of TOA (Toronado Owners Club)???

Watching that video, and some others of Toronados has relit the fire to get my parents to get Moms' 1970, Ming Jade, Toronado out of storage and back on the road. She/we parked it in 1987 when I refused to let her sell/trade it in on a new Dodge Shadow. - Dad is worried that if he gets it back out she will want to drive it everyday... - I say "LET HER!!!!"
