Thats whats up. I like those guys because they make you feel the song. Not to mention that they play the song. But thats just my opinion. I can chop, but i'm also an old school player. POCKET IS THE KEY. I'M JUST WAITING TO USE MY KEY(POCKET) TO UNLOCK SOME DOORS AND FOR DOORS TO OPEN FOR ME
Sick video, sick drummer, sick track. I got one question, what is the title of the track he's playing to? it sounds like "give thanks" but who did that track?
Great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in B-more when i was playing bass for James Hall back in the day. Great attitude and even better spirit. Jeremy is an icon to the gospel world. Hands down Jeremy Haynes, Chris Coleman, Calvin Napper, Calvin Rodgers, Marv McQuitty, Joel Smith, Chris Johnson, Andrew Ward, Kevin Kelly, Mike Reid, Aaron Spears, Jamal Moore, Greg Clark (Mr Lefty), Carlos McSwain, Eddie Heyward, Gerald heyward and lets not forget the great Gordon Campbell.
Jeremy Heyes is definitely one of the tightest drummers out nowadays. I got a chance to meet him a few years ago during a drum clinic at a church in Batavia Il. He's kool to talk to and down to earth.
J-Dog was born to drum!!!!! God bless you for putting this video on you tube so that drummers like me could learn from a great drummer Like jeremy Haynes. GOD BLESS!!!!!!!
It would depend on the style of the song. They are both monsters on the kit. Calvin is my boy and I like calvins grooves but Jeremy has some nice fusion/jazz feel to his playing.
if he's not a church drummer, then who else does he play for? I've only seen him play for gospel artists. And what's wrong with being a "church drummer?"
Mike Clemons-used to play 4 Usher- but now sold out for Christ (Israel New Breed), Marvin McQuitty (Fred Hammond & soooo many others), Mark John (ANC), Calvin Rodgers (Kim Burrell), Troy Miller (Martha Munizzi), Noel Rule (Judith Mcallister).....just to name a few...
see...talk about a versatile drummer...he can get sick with it and be all over the place, and stay locked mind you, or he can lock in on a smooth groove like this and still hit you with some nastiness..awesome
Is there any way i can but or hear the finished product?
