  • He did the arrangements himself and it's on his CD.........

  • Great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him in B-more when i was playing bass for James Hall back in the day. Great attitude and even better spirit. Jeremy is an icon to the gospel world. Hands down Jeremy Haynes, Chris Coleman, Calvin Napper, Calvin Rodgers, Marv McQuitty, Joel Smith, Chris Johnson, Andrew Ward, Kevin Kelly, Mike Reid, Aaron Spears, Jamal Moore, Greg Clark (Mr Lefty), Carlos McSwain, Eddie Heyward, Gerald heyward and lets not forget the great Gordon Campbell.

  • Nice Choices!!!!

  • What about George"Spanky"McCurdy

  • You ain't kidding!!

  • MAN!!

  • Jeremy Heyes is definitely one of the tightest drummers out nowadays. I got a chance to meet him a few years ago during a drum clinic at a church in Batavia Il. He's kool to talk to and down to earth.

  • It would depend on the style of the song. They are both monsters on the kit. Calvin is my boy and I like calvins grooves but Jeremy has some nice fusion/jazz feel to his playing.

  • COOL!!!

  • I choose both!!!!

  • AGREED!!!!

  • WOW...CRAZY! I almost teared up the first time I heard this! lol. Drummer, song, BEAST!

  • It's a very beautiful rendition.......

  • Great ,great technique the song sounds like a remake of an old old worship tune called "Give Thanks" With A Greatful Heart .

  • Yep!!!!!

  • What's the song? Nice drumming.

  • Thanks from JH......

  • I know why he's good because he's not a church drummer he's a drummer that plays at church

  • He started out in church when he was 6.....

  • if he's not a church drummer, then who else does he play for? I've only seen him play for gospel artists. And what's wrong with being a "church drummer?"

  • They all play secular gigs........

  • not all of them....Some are just sold out to the Lord's business...

  • Name a few!!!

  • Mike Clemons-used to play 4 Usher- but now sold out for Christ (Israel New Breed), Marvin McQuitty (Fred Hammond & soooo many others), Mark John (ANC), Calvin Rodgers (Kim Burrell), Troy Miller (Martha Munizzi), Noel Rule (Judith Mcallister).....just to name a few...

  • the chnages are crazy and ur technique is flawless

  • Thanks from JH..........

  • they made a great gospel song into my favorite now lol

  • That's something.......

  • This joker is nuts man. And that track in the back is sick. He has always been nice, but it's like he went to the lab and got Crazy.

  • Practice, Practice, Practice......

  • thats really nicw, is that recorded, and if so where can i get it from

  • Not recorded for sale...It was a one day drum clinique......

  • see...talk about a versatile drummer...he can get sick with it and be all over the place, and stay locked mind you, or he can lock in on a smooth groove like this and still hit you with some nastiness..awesome

  • True......

  • you are soomth.

any relation to ROSIE HAYNES the gospel saxophone player and Greg Haynes, guitar player?

  • Yes!!! They are all related and from St. Louis, MO.

  • it kinda has a yellow jackets feel. nice though!

  • You know Jeremy and Marcus came up together.....Marcus Baylor (Yellow Jackets)..His parents stay down the street....

  • His amazing drumming is a first-hand example of why it's important to learn your rudiments...at least the foundational ones. It's all in his playing.

  • Your right.........

  • Man, J. Haynes is masterful on kit. Says he doesn't practice...he just let's it flow! Incredible!

  • He practice!!!!

  • This is really nice!!Clean and smooth..

  • Very Nice Drumming........
