I got 12oz gloves and I was told that 16s are better....I use the heavy bag a lot but have smaller hands then most people I guess.... those 12oz fit better with or without gloves... but im not sure... please give me an advice as soon as possible.. so i could exchange....
the name of the gloves is everfresh everlast 12oz..... they were red....
My personal favorite pair of gloves are Ringside , They have a perfect wrist support and the right fist position , But I just need help to tie the laces, thats the only downside of them.
man, very nice gym!!! my boxing gym only has a mat. no exercise equipment, no room for a ring. nothing. hahaha its poor. wish i had a better gym to train at.
@QCBEC its really just the hand position you feel like you gotta force to make your hand fist and it does fatigue your hand...watever it just make me work harder right?
@sniperboy102 no difference. and by wrist wrap vs regular traditional gloves do you mean velcro vs lace-up? only difference is that velcro is easier to put on but lace-up give better wrist protection.
Im using Top Ten Fight, and Im satisfied with them. Good padding on the knuckles, good wrist support, feels balanced. They worth more then the price they have.
@grmhustler he was just hitting the bag, he wasn't sparring or fighting. i realize that when you're just hitting the bag or whatever you should still keep proper form for practice but if hes just a trainer there isn't a point to practicing as long as you know what you're talking about and can show the proper form
you should try sparring with jason. See if you can hit him in his ribs. Manny keeps his hands down when he hits the bag sometimes, however I wouldn't say that manny doesn't look that good at boxing.
think this video is cool check out my boxing gloves it is item number 180540586318 on ebay just type in that number on the ebay search engine and it will come up
what hapened to all these gloves after hec road-tested them?
someone said they rang the gym and they had been slashed and destroyed as they were just to test out and once worn cannot be taken back to the makers or returned to the vendors? is this true
u say u kno about gloves.... but if u do, i dont see u talkin about Grant, Cleto Reyes witch are one of da best gloves that have been made for boxing...
Ugh! I ordered the training ones instead of bag gloves. I got the 14oz training Tuf-Wear hook and loop gloves and they were too small :P. I put them on without wraps and they were already tight - and the thumb part is so uncomfortable. It was even worse with wraps.. I felt like my hand was going to explode. I'm 5'7 and about 160 lbs (fatty) - _-'' but my hands aren't big. I want to get those Tuf -Wear Super Bag Gloves.. the Large should do it, right?
Winning is the only training glove/headgear/no-foul protector that I see EVERY top pro using. Word from Floyd Mayweather Jr, Oscar De La Hoya, Erik Morales, Manny Pacquiao, and many, many other top pros is that Winning is the only way to go.
i just bought some shit gloves from energetics, 10 oz, dont fucking know what kind and stuff but they are to hard and i feel like i cant hit hard, i dont know how many pounds i am but around 84 kilos, what size and boxing gloves should i go for? i like top ten and everlast gloves....
im a bigger guy, i have a larger frame, wider back/build then most peopl, but my hands are quit small. i dunno if i should buy 14-16 ouncers cuz i hava a larger frame, or 10-12 ouncers cuz of my smaller hands
@fresheggot I don't recommend Fighting Sports, They look amazing don't get me wrong but the quality is garbage, loose leather is really weird on a boxing glove. Save up for the real deal Winning.
yea i know already. But i use 14 oz for bagwork, pad work, and etc.. 16 oz for sparring. i dun use lighter than 14 oz cuz i can train me speed with heavier gloves
ya me too they look sweet. ive only watched ratethisgear's video on it, apparently its like a smaller, more compact and economic (cheaper) version of Winning gloves. i think i will buy the 16oz training gloves (jason strout used the 12oz one, thats why he was complaining. he's a natural middleweight after all, its too small)
the title gel (r/w) are good. i have them, they're 60bucks from Title. but he's right, they're bad protection on the wrist part, which is bad for power punchers like me
jASON IS MY TRAINER. I AM 74 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN IN NYC TV NEWS FOR 35 YEARS. JASON IS A NATURAL. HE SHOULD BE ON ESPN. FABULOUS GUY, GREAT TRAINER. CHAUNCEY HOWELL

If you really cared so much about protecting your hands you would stop punching skulls. Either do something or don't! You didn't see Jean Claude Van Damme complaining when he had to dip his fists in shards of glass did you?

And for most of them the Padding is always good
I recommend Everlast and Rivals

lol "theyre black so they will last longer" yeah makes lots of sense
also lol @ "they will last a long time" after hitting the bag with some gloves he used for about 10 minutes
dont listen to this moron
Makaveli25x 1 year ago
@Makaveli25x he said they're black so they wont look as dirty and you can tell whether a glove is cheap or not from hitting a bag for 5 minutes

@pequeno98
Hi, take heavier gloves. The 10 or 12 oz. are not necessarily lesser than the 14 or 16. oz. The oz. rates the padding not the size.

Most sporting goods stores sell handwraps, but usually are the short versions, only good for small hands.
Wrapping your hands looks to be very easy... until you try it for the first time. With practice, you will figure it out.

buy 14 oz. 16 oz are for heavy weights

12 OZ. for bag work, 16 OZ. for sparring. This holds true for ALL weights, from 105-heavyweight.
