@yellowmence Well I'm sure it's obvious that he deactivated it for the time being. plus, if she was away from the shoot and didn't want this to happen out in absolute public, she can free herself. Hypnosis only fully works if she's ok with it. if her subconscious was full alert, telling her not to, she won't.

I'm curious about something. Less microexpressions on the part of the subject means the hypnosis is deeper, or am I wrong here.

I've been watching Lie To Me, and read Paul Ekman's books, and noticed many hypnosis vids have a fair amount of microexpressions during freeze scenes, etc.

Liz had spent about 20 minutes before I filmed this putting Amy into a trance and setting up the trigger word.

Liz specified that the trigger would only work for myself and her, Amy's a fairly cautious type anyway, so probably wouldn't have dropped if a random friend had come running into the room and yelled "Beach" at her.

With some people, the idea of *anyone* being able to use a trigger has an appeal, so it can be set up to work that way. (Risky though that may be.)
