I was the cinematographer on the original video so I'm quite intimate with the concept we used; what I can't figure out with this video...is it an homage or a parody?
@PanavisionT16 It is a homage haha, just three friends and one afternoon. I love the original video. Definitely influenced by the slow motion effects. Great job though man, one of my favorite videos!
@concealedblasta We used a camera from Vision Research called the Phantom v10. The entire video was shot at 1000 fps. I had to use some complex lighting equations to get the proper contrast because the extremely high shutter speed (2 µs) meant the smallest light I could use would be a 2K. If you notice in the original video, the rope lights behind the caution tape is pulsating because the high frame rates captured the ohm rating (cycle) of those tiny bulbs.
@seapinesglow haha I know I totally forgot the my guitar strap and didn't have time to go back and get it. I wasn't too happy with my clothes when I was editing also. Good observations!!!
