  • nice,,,,,,,,very nice. yes indeed watch that iso

  • That is a great video to understand how we can use a camera.

    Thanhs for this tutorials.

  • Thanks for tips im gonna try it tomorrow

  • Thanks for this great vid!

If your model isn't totally black your reccomendation is: increase shutter speed.

But, adjusting the lighting compensation (- 1 EV for example) should give the same result I guess?

  • eh.... Laurie is HOT!

    lol thanks, great tutorial

  • Thanks M! Awesome!

  • dude, you rock. thanks for all the tips! God bless you!!

  • what about the iso?

  • Use the lowest. If it's higher the shutter speed might not be able to be fast enough to properly expose. Also Extremely fast shutter speeds can dull colors compared to slower.

  • @Runaldo77

the iso should be set as low as possitble without offsetting your shutter speed

  • Ahh great post Michael. I was actually wondering about that recently.

  • When you take the picture it dont look like the processed picture (how do you give those vibrant colors, it is on photoshop?)

  • I used a Photoshop Action Set I have developed on it, they are called Michael Andrew Lollipops and allow you to pop individual color hues very quickly, in this case, it was blue and yellow. Check out "popyourcolors" dot com for more info.

  • thanks for this tip sir michael..

    -klien- philippines :)

  • Great vid.. Are you switching it to manual mode so you can change shutter speed to darker the model. If not, couldn't you just leave it in P mode.

  • Thats right. Exposure lock would work too, though some beginners are confused with this idea. I teach it this particualr way for a few reasons. One of which, if your subject is too close, in P mode the camera will expose for your subject and blow out the sky. Metering in P mode will give you a ball park exposure for the sky, and then you can tweak in manual depending on how dark you want your silhouette.

  • are you using any filter for this? what filter is best for taking a picture of a sunset?...thanks

  • thank you so much.. you're a great help to us begginers..

  • who's the babe!?!?!?

  • good video. very helpful..and hot model :)

  • You'll have to teach us how to find a model like yours! Good video. Thanks for your videos.
