Have you guys noticed how there is barely any sitcoms, that is because of the reality craze, Run's House is dubbed as a reality sitcom, if this were 1995 Run's House would've been like family matters and actual sitcom but the Networks can't take that gamble with all the reality craze going on.
This show is real it is just that they only auditioned to find compatible people for the show in a small radius within Baldwin Hills that's why some people know each other and some people didn't, certain situations were a little scripted to enhance the shows interest factor, overall I love the show, that is the first time I actually bought and watched a reality show.

im from the uk and found it difficult relating to The Hills etc, so was haps when i heard they were doing a tv show with black peeps, but couldnt stand the first series of this show! Found it v.fake and the cast annoying. The 2nd show is much better, however there are still some oscar winning performances coming from seiko, staci and johnathan i think thats his name, annoying as hell! gerren and loreal or whatever are annoying as hell too. but like the rest of them :)

In the past, I have used amateurs as 'guest hosts' on my program. I used to like the idea of using everyday people to host just to give them the opportunity to gain experience in doing something they've wanted to do.
However, lately I have been seeking to use people with some prior hosting experience because I'm stepping up the quality of the program.
She needs to learn how to do interviews a little better because i could barely even here the questions she was asking. Shw takes the mic away from her face to fast... Maybe she was nervous
1 thing I would like 2 see is for the producers 2 highlight Justin more. As a Black man,I know firsthand that it's rare to see a show that portrays a young brother doing something positive in the community with Church/Mentoring/etc. Especially when that man has been through something like Justin-being disciplined for robbery. Stacy is so damn real I love it. Sal seems like he down 2 earth & cool as well. I think what many people do not appear to understand is that the genre of "Reality TV" is loosly defined as being a non-scripted television program that uses ordinary people instead of professional actors. I just made that definition up, so in essence it's a 'reality' definiton. Yeah, people can audition for a reality show; and from a production side of things, it's a necessity to have auditions. However that does not imply that a show is scripted.
Hell yeah this shit is scripted. But it's hella interesting to watch. i think of this show as the same as watching General Hospital night shift or something. only difference it's not on a single set. and there's no master script. they just kinda make it up as they go along. it's a new soap opera genre. get over it. it's entertainment.

In the past, I have used amateurs as 'guest hosts' on my program. I used to like the idea of using everyday people to host just to give them the opportunity to gain experience in doing something they've wanted to do.
However, lately I have been seeking to use people with some prior hosting experience because I'm stepping up the quality of the program.
I will continue to use amateurs for some events.

1 thing I would like 2 see is for the producers 2 highlight Justin more. As a Black man,I know firsthand that it's rare to see a show that portrays a young brother doing something positive in the community with Church/Mentoring/etc. Especially when that man has been through something like Justin-being disciplined for robbery. I thought it was definately enlighting 2 see him talk about how he feels about his young child & how he couldn't understand why his father couldn't be a better parent 2 him

Stacy is so damn real I love it. Sal seems like he down 2 earth & cool as well. I love Lo'rena cuz she is definately bringing that drama to season 2 with her hatin on Gerren & pushin up on Moriah n all. Gerren is a pain in the azz-the way she talks/acts/etc. Justin is cool because I like the fact that he's helping out in church n all-(I enjoyed the episode with Kirk Franklin.) I crackedup when I seen how Seiko's dad was grilling Justin like that-(I've been through that a few times myself. lol)

I think what many people do not appear to understand is that the genre of "Reality TV" is loosly defined as being a non-scripted television program that uses ordinary people instead of professional actors. I just made that definition up, so in essence it's a 'reality' definiton. Yeah, people can audition for a reality show; and from a production side of things, it's a necessity to have auditions. However that does not imply that a show is scripted.
Sports and Documentaries don't count

Hell yeah this shit is scripted. But it's hella interesting to watch. i think of this show as the same as watching General Hospital night shift or something. only difference it's not on a single set. and there's no master script. they just kinda make it up as they go along. it's a new soap opera genre. get over it. it's entertainment.
